Since this thread is still here and seemingly still open, I thought of one more little "would be a nice thing to have" feature.
When you simply click the URL Link button with empty text (nothing highlighted or selected)

it is nice enough to give you a textbox prompt for you to paste the link into and just continue on.

But you still have to interrupt your typing flow to manually move your cursor back and carefully edit in the middle of the resultant BB code URL if you want to add the optional text label to make it pretty (and short):

Edit this: [*url] to become this [*url label="this"] (without the asterisks)

so that http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-830593/what-do-you-want?pg=4#45531695 becomes this instead.

So, if it is possible can there be a second textbox prompt added for the optional URL label, something like this:

If the new box was left blank, it would just default to what it does now, but if something got entered, it would populate the label="text" part.

Not really all that big of a deal if it can't be done, but it would be less interruptive while typing.

Hi Guys...

I know I'm new, but I was also like to toss MY hat into the Circle for being able to find a nice and easy way of having access to a method of simply keeping track of Our previous Comments made both in the Forums, as well as amongst the generally Video display.

Other than that , I am quite happy with My decision to join Crunchyroll. You Guys and Gals have a very nice Website indeed, and I am glad to say that I am part of it.

Thanks a lot!

Wasn't sure where to post this so I am trying here.

Is there going to be an xbox1 crunchyroll app? I know there is one for the xbox360. I so want one for the xbox1.

Stop with all these sockpuppet accounts!!

Sorry to mess up the troll fun but I am tired of the chess game...

One account per person should be enough, that is the usual norm...

this crazy talking to yourself through 15 different mouths is most madding...

thank you..

How do I look up my own posts on chrunchyroll that I have made?

This is a feature in user options that I have seen on other forums, but not on this one. I cannot figure out how to search by member or search by post info in the search box.

Forum are by there very nature a form of asynchronous communication (as opposed to livestreaming, chat windows, or VOP which are all synchronous communication). Due to this, its necessary to check on posts that you have made, else you are really not having a meaningful conversation. Thus, until I figure out how I can look up my own posts on crunchyroll make it hard to carry on more than one conversation and really contribute to topics.

So how do you large members of crunchyroll do this?

I second this!

Yeah Crunchyroll doesn't have those options but I hear mods and staff do. For me I try to remember at least the forum I was last in to remember where and what I posted. Other than that I'm not seeing another way to really get around here. :(

Hey everyone!

I know that some of our users put a lot of time into creating their groups!
Right now, it's pretty difficult to go somewhere and brag about it.

I'm working to have groups made more accessible through the forums
For now though, please feel free to use this thread as a place to introduce your group and talk about why it's rad and why users should join!

I just want to be able to search for posts that I have made. However, I think you have heard this already!! I am just doing it in BOLD ALL CAPS, because it makes me fell emotional secure.

A system where you can label the kind of thread you intended to make would be nice to have for users.

example:

add a hashtag or brackets labeled Discussion right next to it:

The total number of posts you've made should be displayed at the left-hand side of each of your posts, right underneath your avatar. This feature is available on most forums, so I don't see why it isn't available for this site.

With our history with each other, you know that I have plenty of woes here, but I am not going to touch on my typical subjects here as I'm still waiting for some response on those thread for those respective subjects.

How about actually give the users regular updates on what you guys are actually working on for the forums and video service like in the past? I guess that some small info on the next thing that you guys actually fixed or changed will give the users hope and trust in the community. I know somethings will be proprietary and probably somethings will get bad press, and that's understandable; there's no need to divulge those.

But, how about telling us on what you guys are actually fixing and changing? Keeping the users updated with the changes lets us, the users, have more faith into you guys in actually wanting to better the community instead of us feeling like our suggestions are ignored and scrapped- i.e. like most of the "HELP" section.

It's not like you guys are outing information that you don't want others to know; this site did do it in the past. Your service isn't really in competition with other legal Anime sites because you guys pretty much cornered it. What's the harm of saying "We're updating the forums by improving urling or something and so forth"?

As I take it, you guys probably have a huge laundry list before even getting to the wish list, but I think you guys will gain a better rep with letting the users know what you guys are actually doing instead of saying "I'll let the engineers look into it."

It's not huge or hard to do.

Just start a new thread stating such. Say in your post "We fixed bug X1." or "We improved feature A".

Yes it does show vulnerabilities, but do take into account the "Help" section already does a great job at this already; and you know that as much as I do. In contrast, take into perspective that this move shows a lot of sincerity to the community, and it shows users that you guys are actually actively doing something about such and such- like the crunchyroll of old.

I 2nd this comment, also to expand maybe a link/page for each user showing the threads they have posted in, adding the option to subscribe/follow threads would be nice, also wanted to say something about the profile images, I like the set up but having an image that doesn't completely cover the whole background is kinda pointless, maybe a revamped profile skin setup.

I don't know if this was already mentioned (sorry! I didn't want to read through all the posts ), but what I would appreciate would be a "post history" in my profile section, where only I can see all the forum posts I made, showing what day I posted what, and in which section it was in. That would be really nice because sometimes I just want to look back at my past posts and it's difficult to search it just by reading through all the forums, obviously.

A mobile forum app! Would be awesome or just an app in general so you can reply to gbs and stuff (not related to improving forums stuff but yeah)
