Synopsis:
So far I have had a quite pleasant experience with crunchyroll as a service. However, as of late the videos I have been trying to watch on my PC have been loading in ONLY 1080p and constantly buffering. As far as I know this shouldn't be happening. Even when I am the only one on the bandwidth at my house I experience these troubles and I can almost say for sure it isn't my internet speed ( http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3149528554 ). Is anyone else have these issues as of late and is there anything to do to fix it? I have also cleared my browser cache/cookies and am not doing anything process heavy at the time of steaming.

Oh yeah, it is also stopping me in the middle of the video and being like, yup, here's the next video bro even though you weren't done with this one we know you don't wanna finish it.

Yes, it's been going on for a while to a lot of us. I don't have problems with any of my other stream related services (Netflix/Hulu), but Crunchyroll is downright horrible. I have to drop down to 480p sometimes to even be able to watch without constant buffering. Doesn't seem like Crunchyroll is in any hurry to fix this. There's another thread out there with some suggestions from members with what worked for them, but it really seems to be like a problem on Crunchyroll's end and not the consumer's. I'm debating on whether I even want to resub anymore, unfortunately I don't think there's many competing services out there that offer the same as Crunchy.

Try watching it on a gaming console, it works fine there, it's just that i kinda wanted to watch it while i played PC games : P thanks for the response.

I have the exact same issue and I have tried what you listed, what is funny is Crunchroll has been fine for a few days. I was streaming in 1080p no lag, no stutter and no problems. I try to play videos today and I not only get video stuttering, but it is skipping episodes. I tested my speed and ping and they are still as good as usual with no change (14MB download, 22MS ping, 1MS jitter) and yet I encounter issues that wasn't there last time.

Have you tried clearing the browsers cache / cookies & clearing Flash's cache?

Yeah I have tried that a few times. Also if I set it to 720p the problem only happens at very rare occasions.
