Meganebu! It has zero plot and the characters sit around doing nothing most of the time. And, to be frank ('frankly' is not a correct term, did you know?) it's quite dumb. Though, I still think it's hilarious because it's so dumb. And I just can't help but smile at the end and begging of each episode. Plus, things explode into oblivion all the time. I like explosions. What person my age doesn't?

All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku. I own the OVA and both TV series. The animation is bad, the dialogue is lame, and it's rather repetitive, and any jokes are overused to oblivion.. But I've watched it all several times and I'm not about to get rid of them (and I actually bought them one volume at a time years ago)

Kill Me Baby has an obnoxious opening theme and the title is a terrible turn off. The reward for getting over them is an incredibly simple animation with a typical 4-koma comedy style. But it's a nice change of pace despite not offering anything unique or new to the genre.

Like many have said, "bad" is a subjective term based on the eye the beholder. However, if we go the "Guilty Pleasure" route, ie one you really like but don't say much about it, I'll confess to really enjoying Voltage Fighter Gowkaizer. I've got the original 2 VHS tapes and the DVD in my rather odd collection.

I have to admit, Kill Me Baby is a guilty pleasure of mine, as well.

Black rock shooter 2012 is a guilty pleasure for me as far as plot and characters go, but the fight scenes are just glorious. As seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0XssHL6ka4

Loved Elfen Lied although I know the show has a shit a lot of flaws. Used to like Bleach as well along with some other series like Suzuka, High School DxD, etc.

Most of it for guilty pleasure.

Oh, this should be fun, I often think my taste in anime is broken.

School Days was my guilty pleasure, the first time I watched it, I marathon-ed the whole series in one sitting.

I, My, Me, Strawberry Eggs was funny /because/ it was so terrible.

Sword Art Online (*hides*) seems to be hated, but the part with Yui made me unbelievably happy. She was adorable.

And a lot of anime people write of as "Moe-blob", "Too Slow" or "No Action", because characters are always my favourite part of an anime, above plot.

I'm just going to list the ones that I think others deem as "bad" (because if I thought it was bad myself, I wouldn't like it, would I?)

Lucky*Star- the only reason I say this is because it is on the line of "good" and "bad". I love, it got me into watching anime and being proud about it, and it's a nice change of pace when the only others available at the time are all battle or shounen types.

CubexCursedxCurious- this is just another generic ecchi/whatever anime that practically no one has heard of. Like I said, it's a generic ecchi/whatever anime that I'm not going to force you to watch or kill if you don't like it. I just think that the concept itself is actually pretty interesting (sort of like Date A Live), and the characters make me laugh.

K-on- basically same as Lucky*Star. If you don't enjoy slow, daily life comedy with no development and an overdose of "cute girls" in 4-koma style, don't watch it in the first place. Your hate is only self inflicted.

OreImo- Again with the "on the line thing". 50% (more like 80%) feel that the ending killed the entire show, that their favorite girl wasn't chosen and having Kirino picked was adding insult to injury. Well, if you read/watch it the way the author wrote it, instead of how you shape it into your own "truth", then yes, the ending showed evidence of being held back from the author's true intentions. Even still, it's a fitting (and predictable) way to end the series. No anime is perfect.

nobody would believe that.
Soul Taker

Probably because I've watched all of the director's non-ecchi anime and it just screams "avant-garde"

A very odd show, I admit, but it easily has the most badass OP theme of all time (courtesy of JAM Project). Seriously. You'll grow a beard just by listening to it, even if you're a woman or a kid (or a robot).

The OP reminded me of Gigantor the first time I listened to it. (Since they shout "SOUL takER!!!")

Garzey's Wing. It's soooo bad that it's good though. I've seen it all the way through three times, I can quote my favorite scenes word for word....it has a brilliantly terrible dub.

I think maybe Project A-KO would fall into that it's so bad it's good catagory too.

Project a-ko is what introduced me to anime and it's one of my favorites but i don't think an action, comedy, parody that successfully sets out to do what it was made for in the first place belongs in the "so bad it's good category."
Unlike live action parodies the production really shows in project a-ko.

This would be something more along the lines of production problems and bad voice acting or not intentionally creating something bad such as.
The guin saga dub or the geisters dub or sub.
