I really like the manga Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches (Yamada-kun to 7-nin). What about you?

I think we should ask Liden Films to produce this anime! They did a great job on the PV for the manga... they need to give the fans an anime along with the recently aired J-Drama!

I really want to see this manga become something great!

As much as I'd love to see an anime of this, a petition is likely not going to have much influence on the final decision. I do support the idea though.

They aren't going to make an anime based off of a petition. The only way an anime gets made is if the manga sells enough to dictate that the anime would make a profit. If you really want this to be made, buy the manga and tell your friends to do the same. The PV does look pretty interesting, I would watch this anime.

Petitions don't do much in reality.

The most they'll look at is popularity in terms of manga volume sales.

If Nisekoi and even D-Frag got an anime, I think we'll see one for this soon.

Have you read it? It feels like it is almost over! Either that or there is a big twist coming but read chapter 89 and you'll see what I mean...

If the manga is almost over it won't get anime as they rarely do that, usually they want to promote currently running manga. So I hope they are making more manga, and anime as it is quite fun.

The PVs without a greenlight announcement are odd I must say. But hey, if 2:19 of anime plus "to be continued" gets better manga sales then why bother making even a short anime series?

I feel like the manga is getting near to a close.
And they are not going to make an anime that would promote a manga that has ended / is going to end.

Shame, though.

I guess I'll mention that Manga Premium Members and All-Access members can read every chapter of Yamada-kun on Crunchyroll:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/comics/manga/yamada-kun-and-the-seven-witches/volumes

Every little bit helps. I am sure that a petition isn't going to get Kodansha and whomever else on a potential anime committee to give it the green light. I think though Kodansha will likely do an anime of it eventually to promote the manga.

On top of what everyone else has said, it's not up to Liden whether they are chosen to animate a project, it's up to the production committee, usually led by the original works publishing company.

The other odd thing is that the PV shows A LOT OF THE MANGA. Most PV for an actual anime show almost nothing as they don't want to spoil it so it is an odd PV if it is meant for anime. Less odd if it is just meant to advertise the manga.

Yeah, the manga seems to be coming to a close now. I would say roughly 4-5 chapters before its conclusion. Calling it now.

Petitions are about as good as making a topic on some fan-site forum..
The unfortunate trouble is that a petition means nothing. A single person can sign a petition a few thousand times with some persistence and most of the time people sign a petition for an anime or game because they support the variety that another anime or game would add to their selection. It almost never means that they intend to buy all the DVD volumes or even watch the show or play the game.

The best way to show support for a project is to laud things like this animation preview and try your hardest to get as many people possible to buy the mangas or buy volumes of the J-Dramas (from Japan and new if at all possible.) Don't get upset if it doesn't happen, even if you're wildly successful though. Everything out there has at least a few fans and most mangas aren't lucky enough to even get J-Dramas (despite a mass increase in numbers lately) and usually an anime is created to support sales of a manga and vice-versa

Well thank you everyone who has posted I do appreciate the people who are willing to talk about it! I have read some of the long series. I saw how Free! was not even supposed to be an anime become one.. so I thought I'd put some word out. Never hurts to try? It's not hurting anyway. Hope you all enjoy the manga though

According to This post by Maea2016:

Yoshikawa Miki has stated that everything leading up to the Witches Ceremony is "merely the prologue" ...

I hope it keeps going, as I really love Urara... I mean this manga...

However, petitions from foreign fans have less than zero weight on Japanese animation companies, and the anime studio that did the PV is not the one that makes the decision on whether to do an anime or not, it is the copyright holders, Kodansha. They would be the correct people to petition.

Kodansha does appear to value the foreign market more than most manga publishers, though, as they have given us CR Manga, Kodansha USA publishes their own print manga, and now they put out MangaBox, with another set of translated manga available for us to read. (Though starting long running manga with chapter 1 and putting them out one per week is a bit odd.)
