man, why you guys gotta exploit the fact that you work in a auto shop... i want to work there... but nooOOO my parents want me to go to university... jez. annoying.

does this mean everything that's coming out of Initial D is BS? not that i ever believed them, but i would like to know why it's slower. fank Q!

Aha depending on where you are, automotive isn't really the career to make money in. Aha.

what pookie said is rite, and me being in socal is pretty bad too...lots of autoshops closing etc etc dont get too excited for working in a shop, if i could do it over id rather go to a university than what i went through..

and yes most things coming out of initial d is bs and dont get me started i can link a site where its strictly for nissans or another forum thats strictly for S-chassis (240sx) or z chassis (the z's)...grip is always faster than drift...or shall i put a technicality and say drifting is a form of grip...

hmmm well on tight turns if you turn to sharp without braking you will flip... Also if you slow down and take a turn normally, you have to wait till your facing the right way to accelerate, but with drifting you can accelerate before your actually done with the turn. Not that i know any of this first hand, this is just what i observed

you seem to be thinking of people who drift on the street.. no the way a track bends is more smooth, they are not 90 degree angels and even on a street, you wouldnt be in the right hand lane also, you initate the drift way before you get to the corner or else you will likely hurt yourself/cause an accident.

ATTENTION KIDS, DONT STREET RACE!!

..... Well.... there are nascar races where no one drifts and there are races where everyone drifts, so i was just stating a situation where you would have a choice of

Drift? or no Drift?

NO DRIFT NO DRIFT..... lol... it popped into my head and i had to write it =/

In my opinion drifting would be fast around tight corners because you retain more speed then you would in traditional grip (note: i might be wrong though since i dont really do it irl, i only do it in forza)

I think drift and grip applies to different cars.
Drift is for cars with less acceleration after a turn because drift can keep the engine rev up during the turn and fill in its weakness. Grip is for expensive cars with good torque and all around power.

yah dont be street racing people!!! or else i will come to haunt you
haha but i dont think he meant street racing, and actually your wrong at that...sometimes there are very sharp turns at track...you would be suprised here in cali (long beach formula d the first initiation point was a almost 90 degree turn) but the insides were smoothed in if you get what im saying..

Naw what I meant was like.. there are no 90 degree turns like the streets where you have a curb to avoid and pedestrians and all that. because on a track you can spin out and you'll be fine as long as you dont flip or lots of other cars aren't right behind you.
