no a drifter can beat a normal precision turning car on narrow turn pass/ racing. if the car in front is drifting, it blocks off like 2/3 of the street making in almost impossible to pass on the turns, and in straights its all about speed. in wide road/ track a AWD doing precision driving would typically own a drifter. I myself can hardly afford track time to practice drifting. I got good enough in parking lots and empty hairpins to get a basic drift but that is going like half the speed of pros. I wish i could learn more but its just too dangerous/stupid unless you have money for repairs... That and I am not inlove with drifting enough to find it worth losing my life over.

Time attack wise a drifter won't win. If you're cackblocking (yes, that's the term) the entire track, you really don't get any props. |

you realise this is drifting in reality where talking about? Drift to Drift, not to c@ckblock, if the guy cant get past you when you swing it, its his prob, he has his own advantage, or if he cant find that, then whatever. Just remember its not about who gets props, its about who wins, both driving a precise line and finding the drifters weakness on a narrow road, AND drifting in general to take up corner room takes IMMESE skill. So props to them both for not dying.

well drift is actually a technique used when you do too much grip you wear your tires down too the point where you start too understeer then thats where drifting comes in as a technique for you not too understeer or lose control you slide your tail slightly then when the corner gets shorper you drift compleatly

drift make you gain more control of the car and save gas. But actually is danger if you are not master of drift because it can shut down the engine

And I don't really get how drift gives you more control being that you constantly have to be in control in a grip turn. |
