Synopsis
This drama portrays the life of the 19th king of Goguryeo, Hwanwoong, who was sent from the heavens to make the world a better place. He falls in love with Saeoh and gives her the joojak necklace; however, Kajin becomes jealous since Saeoh has given birth to Hwanwoong's son. She takes the baby and throws him off a cliff. Saeoh, thinking that her son had died, is overcome with grief and turns into the black joojak to destroy the world. Hwanwoong is the only one who could stop her. Afterwards, Hwanwoong returns to the Heavens and prophecizes that 2000 years later, the true Joo Shin king will come to Earth. With the help of the four gods, he will rebuild Joo Shin.

* Ha Ji Won, Kim Ha Neul and Kim Tae Hee were among the selection for the role of Sujini but the role eventually went to newcomer Lee Ji Ah.
* The production cost was estimated to be around 45 billion won.
* On September 10th, a special on this drama will air. Then the first three episodes will air consecutively on the 11th, 12th, and 13th. This drama will air at it's regular scheduled time the following week every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:55 Korean time.

This drama has been one of the top 2 rated dramas during it's airing. The 1st episode is pretty out of this world with a mystic retelling of the four gods and what happened 2000 years prior to when the story takes place. It threw me off with all the CGI effects and such, not to mention being more a narration and I stopped watching it but I'm planning on seeing this again as I heard others say it's really good. Post your thoughts as it currently leads the voting for Feb DotM!

I thought there was already a post like this up...Well I loved "Legend" obviously, great drama great cast, not the best ending, but I can't get it out fo my mind! Love King Dam Duk, BYJ was really great in this one as for the rest of the cast, really good acting!

Oh this one!! I actually enjoyed it when I watched the first two episodes. But since school started and everything, I didn't have the time to watch it. All I can say is, this historical drama is more like a "fantasy" drama. But it's really fun~^^

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can find it anywhere else to watch...but I know you can download it from Clubbox through soompi n subs 2...thats how I got mine, and its the best!

I didnt like the ending. I wish there was more. TT.TT

I'm starting this again after having seen the 1st couple episodes like 2 months ago. Couple things I'd like to mention. Hate the DBSK song they keep playing, sowwry DBSK fans but it's bad. Also concerned that the popularity of this show was more attributed to BYJ instead of the drama itself. I know how the driving media force for dramas (the 20 somethings ~ 40 somethings ahjummas) just love him.

I like newcomer Lee Ji Ah, her character here seems similar to Sung Yuri's character in Hong Gil Dong, but I cringe whenever they have Moon So Ri on the screen. She's one of the ugliest (by leading actress standards) actresses I've seen; will have to see more to judge her acting skills (better be damn good to justify her selection for the evil Kiha character).

!!!!! That really shocked me, It was magnanimously shocking for me when I found out that Park Sang Myun, is Jumuchi!!





I like Lee Ji Ah too, but I feel sad for your ugly leading actresses/actors list. Lolz.

I'm not a fan of Osama, so I couldn't get into this series. Maybe I'll give it another try one day.

R u sure? I havent done the research just yet...but i saw in a clip of the guy who played Jumounchi without his costume on and he looks nothing like that guy u showed above...ill look into it.

However, maybe everyone has different opinions on how the cast looks, but for me, I really thought they all did very well in their roles...the only person who bothered me a little, as far as looks was, the actress who played "Kiha"...she really isn't all that pretty, however I thought she played the character well.
