I respect your wish, but I'm a science guy and, as such, cannot have any paranormal experiences.

However, one night, my heater made some really messed up noises that were utterly terrifying.
Another time, I watched some horror movie with my friends and, I kid you not, the second the killer silently opened a door in the movie, the door to our room slowly opened with a creaking sound and everybody crapped their pants.

It was really great.

Yeah, fear tends to be faster than any kind of reasoning and even if certain things are bogus, fear is not.
It is very real and it hits you regardless. That's probably why many people are fascinated by it and decide to believe things they know can't be real. I'm cool with that as long as it doesn't bother other people.

My weirdest and only paranormal experience came directly from my pectorals. In the inky dead of night, two wispy apparitions emerged from my then flat chest. Using their massive ephemeral forearms they restrained me with their ghostly force, bringing their faces nearer my ears. Writhing about to loose myself would prove futile as these ghastly arms were heavily striated, vein-webbed titans that easily out-matched even my legs in circumference. The two ghosts simultaneously whispered in my ears "This form you've taken on is sad. If you are to consume of all the fruits this life bears, you must achieve the apex of your evolutionary capabilities. You must train like a Saiyan, eat like a titan, and sleep with the enthusiasm of a grizzly locked in the clutches of a polar winter. Grow your pecks to a size that will shake the foundation of small-chested women along with a butt that would sag a Brazilian's. Build these upon a core that you must work out until it is as dense as a neutron star. Keep your wits about you though, for we did not arrive here on iron alone. If you heed our words, we will return bringing fifty kilograms of whey protein, and a sample pack of pre-workout. Until that time, We will await your ascension."

Seems legit.

This didn't happen to me, but to a family 2 blocks over from us in the little town I grew up in. They were a young family with a set of 3 year old twins who moved into this old house across from our library. The kids found a couple of friends really fast and played with them all the time, but the mom thought it was kind of weird that she'd never met them. She asked her kids to invite them over for cookies and the kids said 'What do you mean? They already live here. ' GAAAAH!

They named the kids and the parents went to the library and looked the family up. Sure enough, that family had owned the house in the early 1900s and church records showed they had two children who died in the1918 flu epidemic with the names the twins had told their parents. The family freaked the f*ck out and moved out of town.

I'm a scientific person too, but no one alive remembered those dead kids so how would those little twins know about them? It still makes my hair stand on end.

Well once I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, to get to my bathroom you have to go through a hallway. Well anyways, when I was heading back to my room I got the coldest chill run through my back... I'm serious it made me stop where I was. I looked towards the window and noticed that the blinds were moving.... yet the window was closed so there was no wind coming through. All of a sudden I hear a whisper SERIOUSLY right next to my fucking ear and it said "Why?" at least that's what it sounded like to me... it was very feint. Next thing you know I couldn't move! I tried really hard but I was just paralyzed with fear. As soon as I could, I quickly ran to my room and hid under my sheets haha. I'm not kidding that was a true story, it happened back when I was 12 and I am 16 now. That was the only time I have EVER heard anything scary. The owner before us was a women who's husband had died in my parents bedroom. I didn't really think of it until that night. I haven't heard anything now and plus I don't really think about it. AND no I'm not scared to take a shit at 3 in the morning lol.

I would always feel things in the upstairs of our old house. (It used to be a grocery store, and my grandmother used to go there all the time as a kid and worked for it.) Anyway, I would always feel these...things. I would get really creeped out and would sing in a really loud voice to stop thinking about it. The toys in my room would always make noises. However, I felt as if the downstairs area was safe. My sister would also have some weird experiences, and would see these figures, including ones she thought may have been me or other family members, meanwhile I only kinda-saw a fleeting thing, or that one running blonde boy that one time along with my cousin. She also came to the same conclusion, even though we didn't really talk about it to each other until later.

You know how small children experience paranormal activity more so than adults? What if that's because our evolutionary mechanisms somehow sense that this is a threat, and these mechanisms aren't fully formed until adulthood? 'Twould make a decent anime, at least.

There has been "something" in my home for the past year.

I don't know what it is, so don't ask!

Anyway, at first it freaked me out, by over the past year I sorta got used to it by now
Still occasionally causes me too lose sleep though.

Oh, and I once saw ball lightning in fourth grade!

Ditto. The guy sure knows how to throw a kegger, though. He ate my best friend Larry for spilling his beer. We all just kinda huddled in a corner, and were like 'good one... heh.. you sure got him...' then cried.

I never really like calling anything I have seen as being paranormal as I am sure there has to be an explanation for it but I see shadowed people from time to time...mostly out in fields or along the side of the road and they don't do too much. Mostly they just stand there or disappear really quickly. Always feels like they are watching me when I see them.

I encountered a rather weird group of...people I suppose.... There is a field back behind the area where I live that a church uses and behind that is a graveyard. Me and my brothers friend used to go back there all the time and one day as we were headed to the graveyard after a hard rain making the ground really soft and muddy we both saw these people with what looked like white sheets over them and a black mesh over their faces. There were 6 of them and they were...uh....hopping in a line going back behind a small hill into the woods(we were on a kind of dirt road that went straight back to the graveyard). We went around the hill to see what was going on and just watch since it seemed very odd but when we went around to the other side of the hill they were gone and there were no footprints or anything even though me and my brothers friend were leaving them just by regular walking. We didn't want to tell anyone for the longest time because of just how odd it was but since we both saw the same thing we don't really know how to explain it.

The scariest experience I had though is the one in which nothing even happened. There is a window in our kitchen and our kitchen is just kind of open to both the living room and dining room. Well the hallway to my bedroom goes to the living room and so you can see the window from the hallway. One night I was in my room and I had just left to go down the hallway in order to get some food and I just stopped before reaching the end. I have no idea why but a very intense fear came over me and it was completely directed at the window. I wasn't able to see it from where I was standing yet but I just could not force myself to go any farther to where I might see it. It is easily one of the scariest moments of my life and I have absolutely no idea what caused it. I went back to my room and pushed stuff up against my window shades and just stayed there for a few hours. After a few hours passed I crept out of my room and down the hallway and the fear was just gone so I was able to go out farther but there was nothing out there that I could see. It's weird and silly. Paranormal? Probably not but it is all I have.

I remember when my mother and I lived in this fancy apartment for ages, and one night she was tucking me in for bed. She backed up, getting ready to leave my room, and the ceiling fan started moving frantically above her-it wasn't on, it just started moving-and she backed up right when the fan fell from the ceiling and it continued to move across my floor to the other side of the room.
Now I'm not sure if that's just what crazy fans do, but it was pretty sudden and when it happened, I thought it was a ghost. :/

I read that some of you suffer from sleep paralysis. I used to have the same thing.

I didn't know I had sleep paralysis at first so I was really freaked out!!! because it happened once a week or 3 times a month...it started when I was 13 years old until 2 years ago ...I didn't find out what I really had until 2 years ago and suddenly, it stopped. I find it weird that as soon as I realized that it wasn't a demon, a ghost or something paranormal and that it was just something called "sleep paralysis" which is normal and happens to the 90% of people --- it disappeared. the article I read about sleep paralysis said that the reason why we feel or see a dark presence is because our minds get scared when the body can't move and so, we have those hallucinations but if you try to relax, you can even separate your spirit from your body and walk around the house or travel to places while your body remains in bed i really wanted to try it but after reading that article it never happened again X___x ...the good thing is that now I can go to bed without being scared.

Without further ado, my first "sleep paralysis" experience began like this:

I put it under spoilers because it's quite long
