Bleach is probably about it. It is the only anime that has made me fall asleep. I also think it is absolutely the weakest Shonen series in history, I don't get why so many people like the show.

Most harem animes, if not all! Reverse harems are in the border. For awhile I couldn't stand one piece but watching it on toonami has peaked my interest.

Let's see, where shall I begin. I don't know if I HATE these animes, but I wouldn't watch them again.

Air : Same people that made Clannad. Air was sad, and short. Too short. There is a slight reprieve granted at the end, but it was POINTLESSLY sad.

Highschool of the Dead: Great dramatic zombie moments, loses focus quickly. Too much ecchi.

Ah! My Goddess! : The manga is STILL GOING AFTER 28 YEARS. The show was sweet enough, but it was painful to watch the slow romantic progression between the two main characters. !!!SPOILER!!! They didn't even kiss and they had FORTY EIGHT EPISODES TO DO IT IN! !!!SPOILER!!!

Shuffle! : The show positively screamed of unfulfilled potential, and the main character winds up with the girl I liked the least.

Escaflowne: Not horrible once your eyes stop bleeding, but only worth watching for its historical value.

Black Butler: a Victorian anime with a somewhat interesting premise that manages to have not only a singular dissatisfying ending, but two of them. I ask myself what constitutes "good" in the face of "different". An anime that loses cohesion with annoying yaoi overtones throughout doesn't fit the bill.

Never was a fan of Fairy Tail...something about it just turned me off.Maybe the humor was the problem?
Also,Sailor Moon isn`t very good to me either...I hate how Serena is just so whiny and needs Luna to help her all the damn time.I hate whiny people. However i`m giving the series another chance with it`s remake Sailor Moon Crystal.

@Anamalous TOTALLY AGREE. Even as a kid I didn`t like it,and I adored the games! The series was too reptitive...Team Rocket`s in the way,The heroes defeat them.700 episodes in,not much has changed...oh,and Ash never aging doesn`t help.

I dislike Familiar of Zero- male lead is a blundering idiot who doesn't seem to be able to think for himself in the least, and Louise isn't even a good tsundere, she is just a brat with absolutely no likable qualities.

I also don't like Naruto, One Piece, Pokemon, or any clone of pokemon. Didn't like Attack on Titan at all either.

I liked Toradora until the last episode, when the writers decided to have the main characters do things they never would do, basically assassinating their character development, and in turn the whole show.

There was another one that had a girl become some guy's fiance she had never met before, moved in with him and his sister, and it turned out the brother and sister were in love with each other, and the guy chose the sister at the end, which was just stupid. Does every anime writer have a sister complex?

Is this thread still about highly regarded anime? Because...harems highly regarded?

I don't know if it really qualifies as highly regarded or not but since it's the only anime I hate: Guilty Crown

The main reason being

That said I'm still oddly fond of the character Colonel Dan Eagleman and consider him to be the only thing of value in that entire anime. That and the cat tech girl that had more screen time for her butt than her face.

None, If i were to hate an anime that means I'm still watching it just so I can go on hating on it, if I dislike an anime I drop it and could care less about it. Do some growing up peeps.

I'm not sure if it's really all that highly regarded in general but I cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of Future Diary. I couldn't come up with a single character I didn't want to see eviscerated after a while and I tend to be really forgiving of characters.

Also hate is a very strong word, but the only thing I've watched of KyoAni's output that I've liked is Free! Kyoukai no Kanata was just insufferably dull for me. I can understand why people like these sorts of things but it's just totally bleh for my part.

I think the word hate is used a little too liberally in this thread. Really, hatred is a strong emotion that should be reserved for content that somehow offends your sensibilities enough to provoke a visceral reaction.

Attack on Titan didn't exactly wow me, but its more apathy than anything else.
I disliked Bodacious Space Pirates, but that kind of thing isn't really my cuppa tea.
Sword Art is...well...you know...kinda easy to make fun of. However, if I were to get worked up at every predictable plot twist or shallow character design, I'd have to swear off anime completely. SAO certainly doesn't deserve the pedestal it gets placed on, but I also wouldn't call it straight-up bad.
