Naruto/Shippuden. It isn't even about ninjas; it's just power-ups and other super powers.

Back stories, Repetitive character lines and feelings that make the characters seem flat.

Too many pointless flashbacks, fillers. Not my cup of tea.

Madoka Magica and Clannad.

The art style that makes the main characters look like bug eyed melting faced creatures completely kills the show for me which is a huge bummer.

I read that last bit as "completely kills the show for me and my huge boner." Just wanted to share that.

Anyway, I don't get how people can "hate" something. Hate is too strong a word, like love. It doesn't happen overnight.

Clannad- I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for saying this, but I need support here. Just listen, then judge. I stopped and started Clannad at least three times. I finally made it too episode 9 before I was like nope, I can't, this is too boring. Seriously, wHY DOES IT TAKE 9 EPISODES TO DEVELOP FUKO'S ARC???? Like I'm sorry, but I don't care about your starfish and I'm very sorry that your dying, but can you not act like a two year old all the time?? I'm sure it gets better, I really am, but I just don't have that kinda time. IT'S. SO. DAMN. SLOW. Plus it looks like the love triangles are gunna be a bitch. From what I gather from amvs, it goes Nagisa, all other female characters, Tomoe, and back to Nagisa. H O W????

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya- Boring. Excessive fanservice. Boring. Plot????

I think Clannad is worth sitting through once, but...yeah, it's very slow at times, and Fuko's arc (the one everyone hates) is unfortunately right at the beginning. Might try just skipping half the first season or something.

Haruhi's one of my favorite shows, but, well, it only works for people who want to put meta in their meta so they can meta while they meta. Viewed as a straightforward show, a lot of it is really dumb.

Also: Kill La Kill. It's like Gurren Lagann with absurder writing...I didn't even think that was possible, nor did I want it to happen. Loaded with fanservice, which is only a problem because the fans are hellbent on arguing that it's "artistic," or even that it's not actually fanservice when the heroine fights baddies wearing only a thong and a nipple-clamping shoulder accessory. The whole thing plays out like a rejected Bugs Bunny cartoon about stripping and fascism. But everybody just swoons over...uh, that. I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to like about it. Audacity alone doesn't make something good...

I'd disagree. Clannad was not worth sitting through, and was the most boring anime I had the pleasure of watching.

As for Kill la Kill, it is one of my favourites this year, not for the fanservice which I really do not care about (except when it involves children which is just disgusting), but for the plot, action and comedy. It is one of the funniest shows I've watched, but humour is a very subjective thing, probably THE most subjective of genres. I like the Gintama sort of comedy, wacky but at the same time very clever & surprising. Also, the antagonist(s), is(are) some of the best I've seen in anime. The soundtrack is great also, and it has a lot of mystery, more so than Gurren Lagann, which leads me to say that it is more plot-centric than Gurren Lagann after only 11 episodes.

Yeah, I mean, I don't like Gintama in the slightest either, so it's not really surprising. It's mainly because I can't stand all the Gainax-style hyperactively obnoxious immature randomness, which they have convinced people to interpret as comedy instead of stupidity.

Haibane Renmei, from the top post...everyone says it's "the best slice-of-life ever!" or something, but it's just so...dull. The whole cast has bland, mild personalities, almost nothing happens, and what little does happen feels unimportant. They tried to cram in something dramatic at the end, but it felt forced and didn't accomplish anything. Nothing is ever explained, though it's pretty obvious from the beginning that they're all in purgatory. I can't even hate it, because there's nothing to hate. What was the point?

Besides the obvious like Naruto, One Peice and Bleach, etc I would say Death Note, Gintama and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I dont really hate them though, they just are not that great or entertaining to me.

uuhhh hate is a very strong word and i only have one anime for it... Highschool of the Dead. I don't like ecchi/hentai and well, that's what I got. I learned to look at genres after that lol.

umm others I don't care for but I don't necessarily "hate":

Guilty Crown
Sword Art Online
Bleach
Angel Beats
Madoka Magica

I have actually watched these past the past first few episodes, because I know that some anime take a while to get pretty going (i.e. Gintama). But they just weren't my cup of tea I guess.

Naruto and To Love-Ru.

Naruto because it irritates me for many reasons. Let me just say it's boring and the main character annoys me.

To Love-Ru for so many reasons that it would be too long for this post. The constant fan service (Yes, I know it's an Ecchi don't point it out.) started to annoy me so I dropped it.

I've told many people that I hate those and they're like: "You should watch it again! You'll enjoy it!"

AHAHAHAHA.
You're out of your mind if I'm going to have myself sit through those again.

I'm also not so fond of AKB0048 (A lot of people ask me if I like this anime because I enjoy AKB48 a lot.), but that's because I couldn't make it through because it bored me to death. I get bored easily when it comes to some anime, so I end up dropping it.

I don't often hate an anime, I'll be turned off from it because it's kinda boring or over the top. However when I do dislike an anime, I hate it was a passion. Two come to mind. FLCL, which isn't super highly regarded but it one of my top two. Just everything about it bugged me. The characters were depressing or annoying. There was this big story that never happened. And I had to watch it dubbed. When I tried to watch it subbed I couldn't because most scenes everyone is talking over each other and I couldn't read that fast.
My number is Neon Genesis Evangelion. My god is this show bad! For starters I don't normally use don't the whole depressed main character thing, but I can put up with it. But when you are depressed for no good reason and you cry in every single episode, even if it's a flashback. Shinji Ikari is the definition of terrible main character. He's weak, he's always crying, he has no confidence, and the list goes on and on. I personally don't understand why he's that depressed. There are other anime characters his age that have it ten times worse, that live life to the fullest. He get's to pilot a robot, live with hot women that want to do him, skip school to fight monsters. It's like let the good outweigh the bad. Your mom died when you were young and your dads a dick, use that for motivation to get strong. But I could literally go on for hours about how bad this show is. Sorry for ranting.

Have you watched the rebuild movies? They flesh him out more and he isn't such a cry baby in fact in the second one he even becomes a bit badass

Reinventing a character so they do look weak is just as bad as them being weak in the first place.
