We all have guilty pleasures, and anime is a breeding ground for them.
Any anime, (try to dig deeper than hentai, that's why I chose anime over manga)
You can try to argue why you like it if it is a controversial show, a pre-conceptually clichéd show or any other reason. Please be respectful, consider this a confession booth.
Now for why I started this, I'll let mine off my chest.

My guilty please would have to be Ah! My Goddess. Some of you may say it isn't a bad show, and I would (and will) argue that true, but it is still technically a harem. I don't like most harems, but Ah! My Goddess was different in the spots that turned me off from them. First of all I don't hate the main character, Keiichi. The guys in harems, while dislikable, aren't necessarily bad guys, they're just stupid and ignorant in all the wrong ways. Keiichi is stupid, but he understands one thing. The main heroine Belldandy, yeah, he loves her. He understands that, and tries to get into a steady relationship with her. And when other girls are throwing themselves on him, he knows when to say "no". He doesn't always do it, but one part during the show which I won't spoil where he does, got to me. Belldandy, she is not the flat-chested tsudere typical heroine. No as the title is she is a goddess. She is one of the sweetest, beautiful and understanding characters in an anime I've seen, but she isn't throwing herself on Keiichi. She loves him, but in a more innocent way. She wants to be with him and spend a quiet, peaceful life with him. The other girls that live with them aren't really love interests. One tries to hook Keiichi and Belldandy up (with varying results), and the other tries to split them up (with varying results). Keiichi and Belldandy aren't the only couple here either, other relationships are built and side-characters are somewhat interesting. The show isn't perfect. There are misunderstandings, clichés, and a villain who can just piss off because I couldn't care less about her, but I enjoy it. I'm tentative to admit liking it since it's a harem, the girls ARE really pretty and that may give people the idea that's the only reason I watch it, and because it's still similar enough to other harems that arguing its quality is difficult. It isn't the best harem, heck I'm not even sure if it is considered a good show or not, but I enjoyed it.

Said it before; it's still true.

All signs point to me not liking this show, yet I love it.

why should I feel guilty about my pleasures? I'll admit to watching shows like Highschool DXD, Hyakka Ryouran, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, and similar shows.

Of course I have a few. If Ranma 1/2 wasn't so great, it would fall in here because of how much I just like the premise.
Then you have Fist of the North Star which is amazingly cheesy, but properly epic as all damn hell.
I'll then throw up .Hack//Sign in here, that show is slower than AoT could ever be, with a low ass budget and easily among the worst endings of any anime I've ever seen.

Picture added for polarities sake.

Then you have Fate/Stay Guilty Pleasure. An anime with swords, sorcery, and so little originality they couldn't figure out how to skip the threesome sex scene, so they added in a horrible CG Dragon. People do not die when they are killed, and constantly mention that they should.

Worst of all, right before the grand finale, when the climax is about to reach it's peak, LETS HAVE A DATING ARC!
Oh no! Sabers Ex-Ex-Boyfriend is here, and he doesn't like you! He's also abusive! You gotta defeat him Shirou Pilgrim!
Whats that? The entire dating Saber plot is a little weak and fanboy-pandering? Baaah! Who cares? We've got CG Dragons to anime and epic fight scenes to totally gloss over. Hercules is going to be PISSED when we 4-th wall kill him 8 times in 1 attack, because that's now possible.

Yeah, guilty pleasure. I own it, and can't recommend anybody watch it. I'll lend people Berserk, Gurren Lagann, and Samurai 7 before this.

I'd have to say School days for me.

I know, I know but it's a glorious melodrama train wreak of a soap opera and I enjoyed every minute of it...especially that satisfying ending haha

Girls Bravo.

It's a generic ecchi that goes overboard with the fan service. The romance is cheesey, the humor is cliche, and I love every bit of it. It's just a cute show that makes me laugh. I definitely don't blame people for hating on the show and it's not something I'd go around boasting about enjoying, but I do really like it.

Also Girls' Bravo. I became addicted to this show, then had to read the entire manga, then I had to watch the anime again.

Welcome to the NHK

Now if you've seen it, you're probably going "Wtf!? NHK was friggin' awesome!" and I agree. It's not my guilty pleasure in being ashamed of liking it, but that it draws such a close parallel to my own life and struggles (I even had a Final Fantasy XI phase lol). It makes me laugh and cry so hard at the same time inside when I watch it...
