Started back playing RIFT because of Log Horizon. Gotta say I love the direction the game has taken. Seeking more players from the amazing Crunchy Roll Community. Or just general discussion. How long you played? If you quit, why? Want to get back in the game?

I reside on Faeblight currently, but starting on new on a shard would be fun too

I have a rogue that I played in Rift for a while. It has the same issues as every other MMO and late game was always a huge pain in the ass because either I would end up in a guild that was super incredibly hardcore and would freak out if you didn't play the exact build that they wanted you to play, or the guild was so casual that just getting into a raid would take 6 months or more since everyone was busy... building houses and stuff.

Plus, to finish the story and most of the late game equipment you had to raid. I was pretty much just interested in the story, and not grinding out the same dungeons and such a million times, but that wasn't an option that I had.

It's unlikely I'll ever play again. I've played many MMO's over the years and it takes a lot to impress me at this point.

Yeah I had the same problem in the past. Grind to max level and grind "suitable gear. I was in the casual guilds in the past that were a patch/tier behind everyone else wiping on stuff everyone else is farming on alts, and I am seriously not going through that with an mmo ever again. I like that I can use in game currencies like plat to purchase premium currencies, so I never ever have to pay the company any money, other than the money I spent on the original game, and the 1 month of subscription I paid for last year before I quit.

I started playing Rift since beta and played through the end of Infernal Dawn. I was in a semi-hardcore guild that only raided 6 hours a week but we were still able to get world number 10 Maelforge. I enjoyed PVP and raiding but the rest of the game became too grindy and I got really sick of CQ. I quit the game soon after expansion because the game became so grindy and boring. My guild cleared the new raids pretty fast, I think top 5 since a lot of the top raiding guilds left the game, but they said the new raids were pretty dumbed down and the game in general became even more grindy, especially after the game turned into a FTP. I still log in about once every 3-4 months just to look at my shiny, now-obsolete relic weapons but I definitely don't enjoy the new Rift. Most of the good players I know moved to Final Fantasy.

I've played Rift for like a month or two then quit ever since GW2 came out. I personally prefer Aion over Rift, on a free2play level.

I've played less than a days worth actually. I haven't quit as such but sometimes I just find it the biggest pain in the ass when you're around level 20 and there are several simultaneous invasions occurring and you're like the only person on. It makes it nearly impossible to hand it or finish quests without getting your ass served to you on a plate by invasions left, right and centre.

I've had a 62 mage on there for awhile now, I'm at Hailol though.

I SORT of quit. I'm a build-whore, and once I run out of ideas, a character dies for me. Unfortunately for Rift, you're only given two slots per server. It still remains, however, the standard by which I judge other mmos (after playing over 15 of them).
