Frankly I stopped the new pokemon for the fact that i have hatched over 3k eggs and no shiny honedge. I've come to the conclusion that i am just not good enough to have a shiny honedge.... but i am open to trades if anyone has one XD At least i have a shiny torchick XD

I've managed to find a shiny Claydol and Tranquill... outside of the pre-programmed Red Gyrados, I have not found any others without cheating.

Shiny Charm

"In Pokémon Black 2 & White 2, a new item is introduced called the Shiny Charm. This item, obtained when you have completed the National Pokédex, increases the chances of Shiny Pokémon appearing. As it's a Key Item, when you have the item in your bag, then the chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon in the wild is increased to 300% of normal, making it a 1 in 2,730.6 chance. If, however, you're using the Masuda Method to breed, it reduces it from 1 in 1,365.3 down to 1 in 1024."

Masuda Method

"This method has you breed two Pokémon. However, one of the Pokémon must be of a different nationality than your game (such as a Japanese Pokémon on an English game). This will lower the chances of hatching a shiny Pokémon from 1 in 8,192 to 1 in 2,048 cutting it by 75% in Generation IV. However, in Generation V, it is boosted even further from 1 in 8,192 to 1 in 1,365.3. Generation VI has increased the likelihood even further, with the rate being reduced even further."

Gen VI

"As of Pokémon X & Y, it is a 1 in 4,096 chance of finding a shiny Pokémon."

-Source, all from Serebii

It's gotten easier, also my first wild shiny was a Caterpie
also once pokemon bank is released I wonder if we can trade items... hehehe Shiny Charm in X and Y + Masuda Method + its higher rate.

I've never captured a shiny and for the most part, I don't really care for them, but I do want a shiny Greninja. It looks so badass (reminds me of Ryu Hayabusa in his red scarf outfit from Ninja Gaiden Black and Hotsuma from the Shinobi series).

I have ran into 2 shines in the wild One was pure luck, it was a shiny Misdreavus in Pearl, and in my diamond I chained and managed to get a shiny Growlithe.

And if it counts I got a Shiny Japanese Gengar out of Wonder trade.

I had a yellow Swablu before. That was on my Ruby game. I never had any other shiny since then.

I've found a shiny Zubat in every game since Silver. I don't know if that lucky or unlucky.
I've also come across a shiny Sharpedo, Bibarel, Deerling, and recently in 'X,' a Shelmet (which I need evolved *wink wink*)

I did, once, find a shiny sentrent at the beginning of soul silver but... it was the part where you don't get pokeballs.

Also named them all Sparkles for no reason what-so-ever.

First Shiny for me was a shiny rattata in Pokemon Leafgreen
However, since I was too young to know what it was, I ended up releasing it.

I also found a shiny spinarak in Pokemon Heartgold
However, it was during the beginning of the game, so I didn't have any Pokeballs...
