I'm usually on the other side of the fence. To clarify, I'm the older one and I always end up having reservations about what the other person will think about the age gap.

Me personally, I don't care about age differences and I appreciate friendship no matter where it comes from.

Mostly all my friends are older than me.

I think they're awesome and very interesting to talk to.

Edit: And when I say older, I don't mean by only a few years. Lol..

I have a group of friends who are all 50+ and they're so much fun to converse with.

I have more good friends at the age of 18-25 than I do around my own age, so no complaints here. I feel like I can talk to them easily because they're more mature and understanding or everything.

My friends are in the 19-25 range, so that puts us in the same age group. We've all graduated, got jobs. Some of us go to school, some of us don't. I would be friends with younger people if I were to find some that I had things in common with; there are some high school aged people who interact with me on Tumblr, and they're very sweet. Age can only matter if you make it matter, or if there's a generation gap strong enough to where I won't understand what it is they're referencing or wishing to talk about.

I love my older friends!!! They are all so cool and etc XD So mature!
I want to be like them.
The guy I like right now, is the oldest of them all (Although he's just a few years older than me)

I THINK AGE Doesn't MATTER

Pretty much everyone I am "friends" with is in my age group (14-26, we'll say). I do, however, like to talk with my teachers/professors casually, and they are much older than me. They some cool cats. Age doesn't matter at all; you just have to find common interests to talk about.

"Age is just a number" is something a friend of mine told me. We're 10 years apart in age. I don't have any older friends - like some others I'm on the older side. I have, however, had older friends in the past and we did get along quite well. When you're older you tend to be more chill and you're happy to just talk about anything or do whatever. Younger people tend to be more hectic due to school/college, their careers and trying to procreate with someone.

However, at least for me, it's difficult to get over the differences sometimes. I didn't live a sheltered life by any means and pretty much raised myself, so I have a much more realistic and jaded look at the world than many younger people. It's difficult for me to see them doing stupid things and not want to correct them. So, this makes being friends with people younger than myself hard since they rarely listen to me. And then, of course, I end up being right anyway. People are predictable.

I think it's probably much more difficult for someone that's older to be friends with someone that's younger than vice versa. The age gap means a difference in life experience and this can severely change your perspective on things, which of course, leads to disagreements, arguments and incompatibility.

"Older friends" are basically neighbors, we stand around, drink beer, and talk shop.
Otherwise I'm probably the oldest of the majority of my normal hang around friends, and that's not by much.

Most of my friends are around my same age. Good times. They are all awesome, yet normally flawed people. Our age doesn't matter to us too much. Sometimes it's a bitter sweet reminder, but that's normal.

I'm the older friend
I only have very few older friends, less than ten I think

It sometimes feels weird hanging out with older people since I'm used to be friends with younger for as long as I remember, since I was born a year early than the rest of my classmates.

I just feel childish around them
