A majority of my friends are older than me.
I don't know why; it just sort of happened.
I feel like the students in the same year as me (or lower) tend to stick together and never really want to try new things or meet new people. They normally are in groups, and they won't do something/go somewhere unless one of their friends does it/goes too -__-"
They always talk about how they want to extend their branch of friends, meet new people, and try something new, but when it comes down to it, they ALWAYS bail on me when I invite them somewhere. So I end up going w/ older friends.
My older friends are a lot more open, not afraid of change/people, and want new experiences (even if it's with people they've just met).
I don't know; I think that's why I've always stuck around older friends.
Plus, with my older friends there's A LOT less petty/trivial drama.

I like older or younger people than those my age. Although, age is just a number. It's the way they act and think that matters.

Honestly, I really can't say. I have one group of friends from high school that is slightly younger than me and another group of friends from work where I'm almost the youngest (the oldest being more than 10 years older than me). The thing is that I don't know which one is more immature most of the time. Both groups have inappropriate innuendos and bad jokes for just about every situation. I'm even consulted as the "mature" person once in a while...

Nothing special. They're just friends that happen to be older. Besides, regarding age gaps, I'm more than a little too old to have anything particular to fear from older acquaintances and friends. What are they going to do? Buy me alcohol or tobacco products that I can legally purchase on my own? Take me to a bar, club, or party that I can legally attend whenever I want? Let me play poker at a casino that I can waltz right in by myself? Have liaisons with me that don't violate laws?

My friends range from 16 to 21.
I find that my 18+ friends are mainly more mature and I connect better with them, however younger can still be fun to hang out with every now and then.

I really don't know what to say about my older friends. I have plenty of friends with their ages ranging from 16 - 30+ No matter what their age is, they're all still awesome and fun to hang around with.

Age doesn't really matter. I would make friends with anyone from 5 years old to 100+ years old as long as their mental age is high enough to have a conversation.

Some people are more like mentors though cause they're so much wiser and more experienced than me. It's hard to talk with them on equal grounds.
