Of all my close and best friends I am the second youngest...some are older than me by 5+ years. I think age differences only really make a difference, or rather an impactful difference, when you are younger (i.e. 12 and your friend is 18). It just depends on the maturity of you and your friends (or the lack thereof) and how compatible you are in each others company.

Age matters less the older you get. My current s/o is seven years older than me.

They are like family to me. We can tell each other anything and do meet ups when everyone agrees

My job has some, kinda old, people. My oldest friend that I still talk to on a normal bases is around 5 to 6 years older then me. She is around 26 I'm 21. Some of my guy friends though the oldest is like early 30's. As long as we get along then I don't mind their age.

Yeah, I'm the eldest of all of my friends. I'm the one who has to be able to see if they can do stuff (IE: Drink)

My friends are all older than me. I'm born late in the year, so they're all at least 11 or so months older than me.

When you join the work force you find yourself working with people 20-30 years older than yourself and when you are older you find yourself working with people 20-30 years younger than yourself. After a while these gigantic perceived differences that younger people talk about with only 1-2 years age difference tend to be inconsequential.

I don't have any friends.

But I prefer friends who are in my age group though.

Dunno. I'm on the opposite as I'm usually the oldest one in my group. Its nice to have younger friends since you tend to see them as a younger sister/brother. Age doesn't matter in friendship. I think you can learn from older and younger.
