So, that last scene was so sweet. They began to kiss each other on the cheek, then she offered the lips. I was like 'yes. . DO IT'. . and he was leaning in, and he was about to do it. I anticipated the touchdown and then suddenly. .. THE CAT DROPPED BABIES!

I mean I had an idea the cat was gonna have kittens, but that phone call .. MY GOD. THAT PHONE CALL. WHY. WHY. WHY.

I nearly threw my OWN phone at the TV as I was watching it, OH THE RAGE I FELT AT THAT MOMENT.

But then I just laughed it off.

7/10 in my book. I love KyoAni stuff, but this one just didn't seem to grab me. The main duo felt more like secondary characters to me and Nibutani x Deko felt like they have a lot more presence. Introducing Satone was an interesting mix to the plot. I really feel bad for her, if she only acted on her feelings first; I like her a bit better than Rikka, lol. This season I did miss seeing Toka and Kuzuha discuss their martial status and their kids, hahaha.

Is it just me or did the have basically the exact same episode content wise like 4 times this season?

Truly a disappointment of a second season after the bar set by the first, just like I worried about. 7/10 for me.

What a corny ending. Corny as hell. Is a kiss really that big of a deal?

To be quite honest here, Chu2 wouldn't have felt right if they had actually gotten to kiss. As long as the writers don't pull the same stunt(s) in season 3 then it will be ok with me.

The Ishiki-twist I SO did not see coming and it caught me off guard I was laughing so hard. I was wondering why he was confessing to Kumin like that at the beginning. xD!!

Chimera having kittens I saw coming though, thats typical nesting behaviour. lol

I give the show 10/10, the ending left me in tears and feeling ridiculously happy... and once the feels wear off, I am going to be in a slump since there will not be a season 3 coming immediately.

LOL, that part when Rikka was blowing the hair dryer in Nibutani's face really got me.

I liked it, and I didn't mind the lack of kissing. This season felt more like side stories though than a unified story arc, and while it was nice to see the side characters fleshed out some, I can see why people would be disappointed. But I have to say compared to a lot of this season's series, C2 felt much more unified and coherent than usual. Many new series seem to be random and lack any idea how to tell a story at all.

To KyoAni? Yes, apparently it is. I haven't watched all of their shows yet but from the shows I have seen, I've only seen one and that was the accidental yuri one from the Chuu OVA.

and the most annoying cell phone call in anime history goes to...

Anyway, this was still a good moe series, IMO. I liked how Nibutani's character seemed very realistic; almost like they had captured how a real high school girl behaves. I felt bad about Ishikki - he's Yuuta's best friend and he kept having crappy stuff happen to him this season for no reason. Couldn't he have at least been in some of the more important scenes with the main characters? Sheesh! Satone's character wasn't really a big interest to me, though she did have some funny and touching moments.

Rikka's cuteness and the Nibutani vs. Deko battles were some good parts that helped round-out the bad, though.

Like Yuuta, I'm happy with their progress. Another season should push them even further. After that incredibly dramatic first season, this was a bit of a let-down in intensity. But S2 was more of a fun romantic comedy and that is fine with me. All the characters went though a lot of development. And in a world of instant gratification and rushing into things, it's nice to see someone take their time and let their relationship grow at it's own pace. They are happy just being together. They hugged each other. They kissed each other on the cheek. That's huge for them. Bring on Season 3. The characters are firmly established now. Throw something heavy at them again.

Just had a thought on the whole 3rd novel/3rd season (if/when they do it). Since the new girl is in the theatre or drama club or whatever, and from what I have read is asking Yuta's crew to help with something, I am assuming a play...

I'm calling a Romeo and Juliet play with Yuta and Rikka as the stars. Of course full of Chuuni episodes, and probably drama.

Hated the last episode. Hated most of the season. Kumin's episode and Shichimiya were the only positives. The tale of a social retard falling in love with a jerk who alternately tries to get her to move past her chunibyo and reinforces it by taking on his Dark Flame Master persona. Rikka is so annoying with her sudden, inexplicable outbursts of clarity while with Yuta (always in the final moments of the episode) amid the fog of her delusions. The whole season was a waste, they're still in the same situation as the end of the first season.

I was sent this earlier on in a email.
"Newly announced Seventh Blu-ray/DVD release of love comedy "Chunibyo Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions Ren)" anime series. Includes a never broadcast episode." Released September 17th 2014 if anyone plans on buying it.
Not entirely sure how "new" it is. It was marked as a completely new release but it might have been mentioned that it would be released months ago but the store was a bit slow in finding out..

I have not actually finished series 2 but I have seen that people weren't too pleased with the ending. So hopefully this never broadcasted episode makes everyone happy.. well maybe?
