This show is like if Watmote and Girls und panzer had a baby! If it wans't for the eyecatch or the preview image I would have thought it was a slice of life show!

This -might- also be the first anime I've ever seen with no animation during the ED. I can't think of others.

Which was a really good decision I think. You just ended a killer first episode firing on all cylinders; you shouldn't try to top that with an extravagant ED, but you don't want to tone it down immediately either. So just cut to black, and let the audience savor the moment while the credits rock and roll. Kudos for that directive choice.

For that matter, who's directing this ship. Someone I've never heard of. What the hell.

I'm already giving it a 2nd watch

there are some nice subtleties, like with the pattern overlays someone mentioned earlier. All the girls get flowers while Sio gets a camo pattern

except that brief moment when Asao talks to her. For just a bit she gets the Flower pattern too, before reverting to Camo

Right, right?!? It's like she gets influenced by Asao (obvi not the other way around), so her pattern gets changed for just a second.

Lovely.

That is quite the varied resume...I might have seen Kekko Kamen at some point in the past, but I can't remember the animation in it particularly well. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not even sure if I've ever even seen anything produced by Studio Bridge, for that matter. I know they did Devil Survivor 2, but I've never watched.

Really nice visual flourishes in the episode. I actually liked it a lot, though I did go in with no expectations. Concept is a little ridiculous, but no more so than a dozen other shows I've enjoyed.

Completely smashed my expectations. WAY HYPE Y'ALL.

I agree with those that felt it was like a watered-down Kill la Kill. This was just great, loved it. Nobunaga was awesome, Sio was awesome, and when Nobunagun happened I couldn't stop grinning.

This + Kill la Kill this Winter is gonna be great.

of course it also raises the inevitable question

What historical figure would you Weaponize?

Me - Alexander Graham Bell. Man could invent like crazy. Created the Hydrophoil you know. I figure they could use naval support.

Archimedes, I could move the earth.

PS: I usually don't like nobunaga-themed shows, but this one is def. a positive surprise. I just hope they don't go tragedy with it, they totally could.

Well, it could be THIS Gandhi:

Its definitely a hit or miss, but i see it as a full hit, while others might find it as a miss. Give it a shot and make up your own mind.
