Well, that was definitely one heck of a starter episode. I'm usually not one for all-out crazy shows like this, let alone mecha-based shows but I figured I should give this a shot since Kazuki Yone is the character designer and I'm always up for more male eyecandy.

So far NTF seems to fall into the 'it's crazy but it just might work' category. I really enjoyed this first episode, and I'm hoping the series won't disappoint me like Kyoukai no Kanata did. I'm sticking with this one. c:

Well, in fact there is historical precedent for that part of it at least. The first muskets in Japan cause absolute slaughters. The Polish cavalry (as in guys on horses with sabers and rifles) facing the German Blitzkrieg in tanks, the first Gatling guns mowing people down, Japan refusing to surrender to a SECOND nuclear bomb... Iraqi suicide Ford F-150s with guys in the bed with rifles going up against US tanks... history is full of one sided battles, people thrown into battles completely ill equipped.

Given that the weapons and machines are first introduced to battlefield.

Pretty good; have my attention for now. Made me think I was watching Brave 10 again for some reason, and that's a good thing.

Pretty interesting series.

I knew Leonardo Da Vinci's voice sound familiar.

Well this could be fun. Makes no sense and that's why it is awesome.

Both of the NobuSundays shows look fun. Interesting how both shows' endings are black screens with the credits rolling over them.

If you are anti-CGI then you won't have much if any new anime to watch soon if not already. Pretty much everything has CGI in it these days.

Exactly. There isn't a single modern anime without CGI. Now the amount of CGI does vary, but they all have it.

This is just up my alley. I'm hoping Marco Polo makes an appearance.

NobuSundays will be the best!

If I was younger, I would not mind this anime.

As it stands, I genuinely dislike this anime.

Checks your age... if you were younger, eh?

Though my daughter says that sometimes. "When I was little, I used to..." She's 8... she makes me laugh.

But I think I might see what you're saying. I implied it with my "turn off your brain kind of anime" label. When you're younger you don't worry so much about things like logic, plot, things making sense, you just go along for the ride. I have to sit through a lot of movies with my 8 year old daughter and her friends and they genuinely enjoy some stuff which makes no attempt at making any sense at all.
