You support RoBLOWtech stuff?!!!! For shame!

Oh, I know, shame that it's still getting paid to Harmony Gold in some way (evil jackanapes that they are), what I'm really supporting is the wonderful and fond memories of my first introduction to both Anime and Mecha; "Robotech" made a profound impact on my childhood and I wouldn't be here today, in this forum, enjoying anime (and most importantly, Mecha) with you fine folks.

Plus, the company, Palladium, that put the Kickstarter together is literally down the road from me; they support local business and keep everything as local as they can. In a dying state with an abysmal nationwide economy, I take a little pride in the fact I'm helping keep my "neighbors" employed.

Plus, to be fair, I bought the game because of the miniatures (all those Veritechs and Battlepods!); were I able to 3D print them myself, I likely would; but I'm a hobbyist when it comes to miniatures and love painting them.

Still, I am shamed and should likely be buried upside-down in a fire-ant hill for even calling it "Robotech" and relating anything to the demons at Harmony Gold.

Once you send in a picture of this you will then be forgiven!

I don't see Metal Armor Dragonar on the list

It's one of my favorites, actually, and it's one of the best non-Gundam shows Sunrise did back in its '80s heyday. (Well, really, it is a Gundam show in all but name.) However, there's never been a legitimate release of it outside of Asia, IIRC.

As for a Battletech anime, well, there was an American cartoon. It was horrid. Don't bother.

Was there a good American cartoon from that time period? BattleTech would be better as a manga IMO, and should I ever become inexplicably wealthy, I will make that happen. BattleTech has always had a different flavor then Japanese mecha, and I don't think the franchise will ever be succesful there.

I do wish that some of the old goodies would find there way onto streaming sites. I've said it before, but I'll say it again just in case TPTB see this. I'd be willing to pay extra for the old school stuff. I never did finish Votoms after all.

I remember that Battletech show, unfortunately. It even had some early CGI battle scenes (explained away as Clan enhanced imaging). The interesting thing about that show was that FASA keep it in the game continuity (they even put out a game manual based on the show). The MC, Adam Steiner, would eventually become Archon of the Lyran Commonwealth because of the Word of Blake Jihad.

Speaking of the evils of Harmony Gold, they went after Battletech in the early 90's. In the 80's FASA had used a bunch of anime mech designs when making the game (over a dozen from Macross alone). Harmony Gold eventually found out and forced FASA to stop using the designs of some of the game's most popular mechs.
