It happens to me last year. actually i didn't used adBlocker, but this is what happened. Last year I had very slow internet connection, so when a video ad come up when i watch YouTube video i scroll the page up and down very fast. I think that glitches the video ad or something the ad will disappear before it start playing when i do that. at that time It was worth it for me because if i late a video ad play it will take more then 3 minute to finish for a 30sec ad. Then a few month later i couldn't watch any YouTube. Every time i try it say flash player turned off, but it wasn't the true. The truth is i got blocked from watching YouTube video.

Nope.

What do you mean by "Nope"?

I don't use the website

Even if I did, my school commissioned computer has an (apparently) epic virus prevention software

Man all you have to do is mention something about software and you get so many armchair IT professionals giving epically bad advice "Norton is terrible you need to use (insert bloatware av program) instead!!"

The antivirus the OP has is irrelevant to this discussion since the question is if Norton triggering a block on MAL meant it was safe or unsafe. I don't use Norton, I use MSE and I saw the block myself because my router has a Norton web filter attached to it. People also will see the same thing if they use Norton's DNS service. It's not all about the AV client here :P

People should be glad Norton found those bad ads, since no other companies did. It made MAL aware of the issue and it was quickly fixed.

As of 12/19/13 @ 11:15 CST I tried going to www.myanimelist.net and I got a warning from Norton stating that this web site was now listed as malicious.

Is anyone else having trouble with this site such as security issues or have had their computers infected or damaged while using myanimlist.net? This is really unfortunate because I use MAL a lot and I'm sure a lot of other people do as well.

Does anyone know if MAL is doing anything to fix its security issues?

I used to use MAL a lot but then I found another great site hummingbird http://hummingbird.me/. One of the great features of Hummingbird is that you can import your already existing MAL account, however it took the site 6 weeks for me to import my old MAL profile. It might be worth noting that I started using the site and import my MAL profile when you had to get an invite to the site to use the site!
