I just got an iPad and I'm wondering if others are having the same issue as I am.

The current video time seems to go out of sync as I watch a video on the iPad app. For example, when I get to the end of a video, the current time on the left shows 24:43 while the total time on the right shows 23:39.

Here's a screenshot:

Its been like this ever since the App came out for the first iPad. It has to do with how Apple's streaming protocol works (from what I have been able to understand).

It use to be a lot worse. Long ago, the video use to just stop once the timer got to the end, even though the video was not finished yet. This would require the user to have to play the video again and start from where they left off (by scrubbing to the scene they were watching) to be able to finish watching the video. This problem would get worse if you paused the video any time during the playback.

Thankfully, CR was able to figure that problem out, but the time stamp being off still persists. At least it doesn't stop you from watching the videos.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the iPad dev figures out how Apple's streaming protocol works. Although, it's not very reassuring that this problem has been known ever since the iPad app was released.
