I myself am in that stage of college where, "Oh hell, what do I really want to do as my future creeps up on me..." Over my time, I've been a very good public speaker. Speeches among crowds and classes, I can get an A+ in very easily. Although, not sure where to go with that for my future. It also needs to be fun. My personality feeds off of fun, and others happiness. This brings me, and many others, into a void of possibilities for our future. I'm interested in the gaming industry as well with the Digital Arts for Entertainment, but lack skill of drawing or 3D modeling, (although some paths you don't need to draw or model...). It's a stuck choice, but we all go through it.

Where are you with your ever winding paths for your future?

Hi!!

My dream job and my passion is to become a professional wrestler! (Not joking). I love the idea of wrestling and entertaining combined. I obviously know matches are pre determined and what not, but I love the idea of entertaining by wrestling. But before I would even try becoming a wrestler or fighter, I would first like to become a photographer or camera man, pictures are one of the most important thing to me so I would like to major in that area. Then there is video games.... Im the type of person who if you asked if a video game was good or not I could spend an hour talking about the great and meh about the title, I love talking about JRPGS specifically. But I do not have strong passion for writing reviews though.

Please do not major in communications. That is such a useless degree. You'll have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication which will get you a job in... basically nothing. If you like giving speeches to crowds I would suggest trying to become a representative of some big company which would be better getting some type of business degree. That degree is pretty easy to get so it's also not great, but it's better than a communications degree.

I'm currently in my intended major and job. I am interning at the company I intend to work for when I graduate. I am a Computer Engineering & Computer Science major and work as an Applications Engineer.

My current major is Clinical Psychology and I am 99.9% sure that I will stick with this and become an actual psychologist for a practice in the future. I mostly decided this because I love people and the mind is my favorite part of them, that and the job pays a decent amount of money! Haha.

I've had fantasies of being on Broadway since I was little. Sadly I'm tone deaf so that's not happening.

If I were to be truly honest with myself...

I would be somewhere between a psychologist, philosopher, game designer, soldier, and voice actor.

Problems with these dreams:

1. Unfortunately I (thought I) didn't do well on my most recent psych classes (I actually got Bs), and changed my major. Of course classes haven't started and won't until next year, but I'll need to wrangle a bit with my academic adviser to figure out the best course of action.

2. Philosophers don't get paid.

3. The market is glutted with game designers, and the system looks primed for a crash regardless.

4. I was kicked out of the military for BS mental health reasons, and no matter how hard I try or what I do, I can't get back in. Well, maybe writing up / calling my Congressman would help, but they can't even pass a budget.

5. I have no idea where to start in regards to voice acting, no acting experience beyond being a shepherd fifteen years ago in my grandmother's church's Christmas plays, and am probably more in love with the idea of it.

Not really sure what to do or where to go at this time... but still, persist in the present and believe in the future.

Computer Programming/Game Design, which I am already about 2/3 through. But finances have halted that progress for the unforseeable future, and that is just at the Associates level i'm only like 1/5 of the way towards anything higher.

But don't worry about the "Oh where is my life going to go from here" phase, it lasts mostly through your twenties from what I have been told unless you are lucky enough to get your degree within the usual 4 year time frame after high school and get RIGHT into a job. Most people don't seem to have this luck, kind of like me, and are still no where after 4 years already since High School.
