Has there been any news on Saki (main story) season 3 lately? Is it at least planned? Any hope we can actually see the conclusion of this series after 6+ years?

Edit: From what I've been able to find it seems like only a few people wonder about it, and those few people do want the conclusion. Perhaps the long gap between Saki season 1 and now has just made people not really care anymore, or they just gave up hope. I've also read people saying the people who made Saki went bankrupt and it won't come back because sales were not good enough. Not proof, just rumors.

It's more resignation. The writer is glacially slow, and both times it's stopped because it was going to pass the manga.

Plenty of people want it, but nothing is going to make that Lady (?) write faster.

It literally takes years for this series to cover enough material for even a 1-cour season; we get about ~15 chapters a year and they're both extremely short and rarely cover much material, so there's nothing really for it but to wait.

Zenkoku-hen covered chapters 64 to 106, so ~3.25 chapters per episode, meaning we get ~4.6 episodes' worth of content out of the manga per year. Right now we're at chapter 125, so we're looking at another 2-3 years at least.

So, the manga is still going slow but consistent? That is a good sign at least. Thank you.
