Even though the show sucks....

I like Junko Enoshima more than Naegi since Kirigiri is just a supporting protagonist

As far as cute yanderes go, i've not thought of anyone but Yuno. xD Wouldn't be able to dream of anyone equal to her. I've been listening to the theme song alot on my mp3 ^^ Oh and of course alot of Nico Nico Douga geniusness. For example:

I liked Pixy and the whole "A World With No Boundaries" organization in Ace Combat Zero, and I wish you there could have been an option to side with them. I also liked the Ofnir/Grabacr squadrons in Ace Combat 5, because even though they were only in it for revenge, their motives seemed more natural than the protagonists.
Oh yeah! I liked Venat and Vayne Solidor in Final Fantasy XII, because even they were trying to start a war (well, Vayne was at least), their goals were exactly the same as the protagonists: freedom from the Occurian stones, and self determination for man (and seeq, bangaa, moogle, viera, etc...), except the protagonists wanted everything all fruity and lovey-dovey, which I never liked.

Aaaaanyways, I frequently like the antagonist better, because their characters are either more believable, realistically based, I can identify better with them, or they are just honest in their intentions.

I like many yanderes, they never beat my love for tsunderes but they're still so adorable >///<
But yeah, Yuno is like the meaning of Yandere for modern viewers XD
Yeah, I usually don't like dark themes but I loved Both Mirai Nikki's OPs and EDs ^w^
Watched that in loop many times, very addicting. "Yuki Yuki" XD

True about Yuno being for modern viewers, i actually don't know any other Yandere character. Especially not a split personalized Kawaii/Yandere one like Yuno. Only know of Tira in Soucalibur III-V (Namco Fighter) and like her too.

^^ The other Yandere that I believe rivals Yuno in popularity is Lucy from Elfen Lied, There;s also the girls from Higurashi, though for some reason I don't consider them yandere. There's also Kotonoha and Sekai from School Days, which I'm sure you've heard of even if you weren't into Yandere. Can't think of others names from the top of my head, sorry.

I like Elfen Lied too. Pales in comparison to the masterpiece that is Mirai Nikki, imo, but still.

I'll check out Higurashi (is that the name of the anime?).

Yes i heard about school days in the comments section alot, then decided to just watch the ending without watching the whole thing. I watched the five first episdoes and couldn't stand watching... I can understand why someone would turn Yandere after the male leads indesicive attidute to girls. :p

Also there's a Yandere in Oreimo. Which is fun in itself cause it's more of a comedy anime. xD

Completely agree with you on that ^^

Yeah, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. It's pretty confusing at first but I really recommend watching it till the end.

I don't like spoiling myself so just watched the whole thing, was extremely disappointed and depressed after reaching the end, and from what I've heard the Visual Novel is mostly Bad Ends too.

Ayano is a complicated yandere, a yandere and tsundere mix XD

Light Yagami vs L

Which one is actually which?

Light is a villain protagonist while L is a heroic antagonist. Antagonists don't have to be villains and the protagonist isn't always one of the "good guys".

And I really like some anti-villains a lot.

Not that I dislike the protagonists, but so far in watching Psycho-pass (I'm on episode 17), Makishima is much more interesting than Tsunemori or Kogami.

I liked King Torture a bit more than Samurai Flamenco. They're basically the same person, it's just that King Torture decided to go the extra mile with his cosplay villain act. (He still might not exist though.)
If you count video games, Kefka kicks the crap out of Locke, Celes and Terra. That clown was bad news.

I like L more than Light: that's antagonist over protagonist, but not villain over hero.

More generally, in most anime (or any fiction) where the protagonist is an obvious Mary Sue who ends up winning every struggle they enter and looking cool doing it, I inevitably start liking the antagonists more. I'm a root-for-the-underdog kind of guy. A bully does not a good protagonist make.

I also take a certain guilty pleasure in psychopathic characters. The villains who just want to ruin everyone's day for pretty much no reason strike a chord with me, and I sometimes end up liking them more than the protagonists. It doesn't mean I'm rooting for them, though: I just find them more entertaining to watch, and I look forward to their inevitably cathartic defeat.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Kyubey was completely misunderstood! He granted people's wishes, performed miracles and answered everyone's questions without lying. He didn't hide anything, he just (albeit wrongly) assumed that the details weren't that important. He was a firm believer in utilitarianism, and the girls thought of him as evil despite his earnest efforts to the contrary.

The protagonists on the other hand heard his spiel explaining how dangerous fighting is, yet only realize what he meant AFTER they have to actually deal with the consequences, and then suddenly 'it isn't fair' to them. Talk about entitled. Despite being told that they are giving up their lives in exchange for the miracles, they still seem to believe that they should be given the impossible without any price.

(Though, the silly girls are what made the show amazing, because reality gets to slap 'em in the face)
