The characteristic I probably hate the MOST is the clueless male lead who can't figure out that the four other females in the show LOVE him.

Other characteristics...

Useless/Spineless/Can't do anything themselves characters, whether they are leads or not. Such as females who can't do anything without the big tough guy around for example.

When all a character does is whine, bitch, complain, and after it is all said and done, whine some more.

Kind of countering my other hated characteristic, but... the headstrong/idiotic (usually main) characters who think they can't be beaten by anyone, or when they are beaten, after a quick useful out of the blue powerup (usually something about friendship) can all of a sudden do anything. Naruto, Luffy, Eren, and Natsu type characters fall into this category, given I actually like Natsu.

Oversized proportions on bodies. Females this would be the breasts the size of character heads, or bigger, while on the body of someone I could confuse for a middle schooler. Males with way too much muscle, or in case of like Luffy, being able to just make any part of them huge to bash through a fight.

I think this last one is more of a trope than a characteristic, but I still hate it: When a, usually male, character walks into the room where another, usually female, character is changing or is nude, and instead of just covering up and asking for an explanation they just bash their face in calling them a pervert and idiot. I say usually male or usually female because when the roles are reversed where a female walks in on a male, the male usually does just covers up and the females explains and nothing bad happens.

Hmmm, mine would have to be clingy anime characters, they just get on my nerves(though some, I can tolerate)
A good example of a character I can't tolerate would be Yuka from 11 Eyes

In my experience, even when it is the female walking in on the male, he still gets hit.

Which makes even less sense than the rest and that makes me want to pull out my hair!! Thankfully I have a buzzcut so I am safe from doing this to myself. XD

No. I just hate this. Characters who keep that same blank expression and don't have any sense of joy, pain, sadness, guilt, or fear.

After the loss of emotions.

So she acts like a robot right?

Characters who seem completely obsessed with themselves. (Kirino from Oreimo, yes I know the ending, but that again is just what SHE wanted, and SHE always gets what SHE wants despite everyone else's feelings.) (Yozora from Haganai)

Other than that, characters who cannot come to terms with their feelings. I cannot think of any examples, but you know who I am talking about.

Finally characters who are overly indecisive, I really hate that.

I can at least tolerate other characters, and usually like them.

I hate that people keep saying that they hate Yaya from Machine Doll. She is adorable. She is overly jealous, but it isn't like she doesn't care about others. She is a good person.

Every character in Gantz pissed me off. Except the main character's friend and the first girl to show up. (It's been forever since I've finished Gantz, so I don't remember names. >.<)

They all expressed this denial and selfishness that really got on my nerves.

Whiny male protagonists.
Pretty much every harem protagonist that isn't Koyomi Araragi.
The jealous girl whose sole purpose in life is to start sh*t.

1. The cliche idealist who never quite gets dragged down to reality.
2. The annoyingly high pitched and energetic female character who doesn't know when to shut up.
3. The shy chick who is obviously attracted to the clueless protagonist but mentions nothing of it until the very end of the anime.

95.72% of tsundere's, or female characters that constantly beat up males for no reason.
Over-sized physical features.
