I have a poem-song in my profile about this, I tried to read it everyday to feel that way because I certainly do NOT feel that way.

I'm thankful for my family but for the rest? I'm very unsatisfied with my job, career, friends...absolutely everything that surrounds me is wrong (except my mom) >.>

My mom says that we should be grateful for life, food and the roof over our heads and that should be enough to be happy but deep inside me I'm not grateful for it because I want more and better, especially with myself. Besides, we have food and the roof over our heads because we work our asses off to pay for it, it's not like it's given for free...life? sometimes is too harsh, too boring, dull and unfair...I don't think I should be grateful for being alive...it just means fighting for another day and trying not to die.

I'm happy with what I've got, but I still want things. If I don't get those things, I'm fine with it, but usually wanting things gives me a goal for the year or something. Currently, I'm attempting to save money for a con that I'm going in March, but the money I have now is good enough for me.

I will be borrowing this to answer the question.

Seeing as how I'm near impoverished, I'm quite thankful for what I have.

However, living poor for most of my life has always made me wish I had more, or at least, as much as others.

I think anyone in poverty wishes they had just a bit more in terms of finance...

I am grateful for everything I get, I remember on my birthday three years ago I got a T-shirt from my best friend and I nearly cried because I didn't expect him to give me anything, because I told him that he didn't need to buy it.

I still wear it to this day and probably will in the future (:

Still I want more things, and buy more stuff, well by time I get the things I want and that is something I will fix for myself, and not something that friends and relatives should think about (:

You can ask a moderator to help you edit your question, they will be happy to help. :)

I always push to be more of a thankful and grateful individual, because I do not want to take what I was blessed with for granted.

I am thankful. However, I do seek for more in terms of my abilities. I try to garner more and make them better.

I'm going to be completely honest here. I always demand more stuff when I receive stuff.

I am very thankful for what I have and have worked pretty hard to attain it. Since change is a constant in my line of work, the old adage of not missing something until you do not have it anymore really comes to play. I believe it is easier to appreciate something what you have when you know it is going to change. I have felt that today even since I just finished moving again.

I'm a thankful person. I tend to see the good in everything rather than the bad, and my station in life is a very comfortable one. Sometimes it's hard, and sometimes I kind of trip and roll down a hill, but even if I don't do amazingly, I'm always grateful I got the opportunity, took it, and gained something even if I don't recognize it right away.

Sometimes that outlook on life gets really embarrassing though. Part of the reason why I'm so thankful is because my standards are set really low, and when someone or something even slightly cool comes my way, I freak out. About brand new sharp x-acto knives, about my first time using a decent dip pen, about an acquaintance who actually wished me happy birthday in person when I totally didn't expect him to even remember what my last name was, about surprisingly tasty candy, or about a classmate who can paint really well even though that shouldn't be surprising because we're all in art school. I'm entirely too easily impressed and unfortunately I do not hide my emotions well. I'm afraid I sometimes come across as unprofessional and not meant to stand at the level I do, or just kind of annoying.

I am a very thankful person. If someone were to analyze my life, well, things are certainly not ideal, someone might even mention that its in tatters at this time.

But, despite all of troubles and side-tracking, I deeply appreciate any sentiments I've received and have given back at least as much in return. Things improve over time, and it's beneficial to celebrate instances when things get a brighter.

You're quite sincere and enthusiastic. I do hope you start to see beyond your level, because your simplistic and fresh point of view are bound to benefit your art as you improve.

I personally had the opportunity to take a years' worth of studies in multimedia entertainment before I lost the funds needed to continue. I haven't appreciated books, film, and animation as much as I did after going to school.

I hope you get a lot out it.

(´;д;`) Thank you! I do love where I am now, and I love the people studying here and all the resources offered to me. I guess what I wish for isn't to have higher expectations, but maybe just to rein myself in a little. It's just kind of embarrassing when during a critique, everyone is composed and well spoken, and I walk right up to the work and flail and go, "You draw good! Amazing! Good drawing, great drawing!"

I hope something comes your way that lights your spark again.

You'll develop a sophisticated pallet (college is snooty like that XP.)

Perhaps I sounded a tad melancholy. Mind you, my spark's plenty lit. Just have to get a few things in order before the train arrives.
