I fucking hate it, I'm constantly reminded on how I should be ashamed of my existence and living in an all Spanish community doesn't help at all. People in my neighborhood refer to me as china/chino just to spite me, it's fucking annoying. Either I stand up for myself to have the next person do it to me again, or I shut up and pray it gets them in the ass in the future

2. Since I wasn't around back when racism was in full force, and I don't live anywhere to actually experince a negative deal of it I don't have many views. It is annoying as hell online though.

I sat through a whole XboxLive party of someone just getting called out because someone came and said "Go back to Africa" as soon as the guy joined and said a simple "Hey". Since everyone including me was an Anon I couldn't do much so I took some bullets by saying I was 12 year old boy letting me get shot instead. They guy mailed me and said thanks a day later. It was a good day.

And all it took was a simple "Hey" to set off some bull crap from a jerk.
People were always interesting.

I feel so embarrassed that I didn't read over what I posted. Anyways let me shine some light on the story to make up for my typos. After I got his letter we started playing together more often. Then suddenly 5 days later another person that somehow has a hatred for anyone that's not white popped up. My friend didn't say anything and told me not to take any bullets for him again. But the rest of party members jumped in of each a different race I think and just started going to town on the guy. It made me feel all warm inside even though he was getting burns of every degree. But afterwards we all played a decent game together because the guy got butthurt and left the party.

I just don't get why would someone just act like that for no reason...No one slapped him, No one insulted anyone, just a simple "Hey" like seriously? Do they want to look tough? I don't get it. Like...there was no reason at all he should have did that because of a simple "Hey"

1. Ignore

2. I've never seen white-on-black racism that I hear so much about, but growing up in Hawaii I was threatened and called a haole a lot. Being called a haole on it's own isn't necessarily offensive but it's kind of intimidating when it's an angry 6'5'' Samoan dude that yells at you calling you a haole. Now I live in South Korea and racism against all races that aren't Korean seems to thrive except that it's a very repressed sort of racism. I get asked about my big nose sometimes. On the other hand Koreans think my blonde hair is really interesting but that's a different kind of racism. Sometimes people take pictures of me with their cell phones on the subway, if I go to a more rural part of Korea. It's weird getting attention for things like having a big nose and blonde hair. There's also a lot of blackface mascots for restaurants and stuff, and that's awkward. Sure, South Korea has a booming economy but their society has a lot of growing up to do. They were the hermit kingdom for centuries and after the Korean War they opened up their doors real fast and they're still having a hard time accepting foreigners. It's a huge issue here. Another bothersome thing is that Caucasian males seem to all be perceived as sleazy sex tourists. There's a lot of talk about Americans coming and "stealing their women."

Excuse my bad formatting and ranting. I hope that makes sense. I'd be happy to elaborate if I were asked specific questions about racism in Korea.

Asian countries were always considered racist by other countries but racism is still universal.

I've been called a cracker once. I didn't mind, because I agree that I go pretty well with cheese.

Right. But it's my experience with racism and it's different from how I was taught about racism in school. I also actually expected some backlash from people on this forum for daring to say that something about Japan or Korea is actually not very progressive.

Online yes. Face to face, nope. I have seen people that turn the opposite way, walk away really fast or were afraid to come near me in a aisle when I am in a store, but not have anyone call me the n word.

Racial slurs don't bother me as long as they aren't followed by a stream of 7.62x51mm.

HA HA HA!

I find it funny when people call me "cracker" as it actually makes me laugh.

Yup, it is ridiculous why people act that way. It used to upset me when I was a child, but now I laugh at people who do that.
