Anyway got any suggestions? I need to make sure my mind is clean and empty, so that I can focus. Only when I can focus and live in the present moment can I be successful at life.

No trolling in this thread. I'm in serious need for help because my life is in shambles and I need help from you guys.

Did you try listening to the music you like, it helps me calm and think.

Relay your situation to a friend or mentor whom you trust completely. I'm sorry, but I'm only a stranger. In the meantime, listen to some Erik Satie.

I hope you find an answer.

first of ignore all the people giving you drama and if any one causes drama just leave and have little contact with them as possible.

if drama is online just delete them from your friends list and block them (this includes family).

If you are physically able and it is safe where you are start going for walks/jogs/runs or to the gym, sometimes the fresh air and physical exercise will clear your mind.

also have no friends or people around that are not positive, negative people will only drag you down in life and you will not succeed.

Write down all your problems on paper and just sit there and think about it.
You can do whatever with the paper, leave it and read it in the future or even burn it.
Then think about what goals you want to achieve, realistic goals that is, and how to get closer and reach those goals.
Put that on paper and put time frame to work with.
When you complete a goal do a little something special and reward yourself.

Hopefully, with this you'll be able to get your life together and live better :)
Good luck!

I get on Xbox and play video games until I've forgotten my anxiety, then quickly work out a plan of attack to fix my problems.

Start with simple very small goals of where you want to go/do. And if you have to, break down those goals more. The biggest thing I recommend is getting into reading/listening to personal development material. A good website to start with that I still go back to time and time again is stevepavlina.com. Hope this helps you and best of luck in the new year my friend.

Being a person of many many obscure experiences, I think I may have an all too simple solution to 'de-fuck' your mind. :D

See, a long time ago, in a galaxy far from New Jersey, I studied the art of witchcraft. Not like spells, magic, or any of that b/s, but more to get a different view of nature, the world, and what have you. Some of it was pretty cool, actually. Definitely interesting.

Anyway, tl;dr, My 'teacher', showed me a neat trick for when your brain won't stop bouncing. Take a candle, light it, and stare at it. Like your about to have your way with it. Stare at the flame, or rather, past the flame. In your mind, imagine the flame getting bigger, and brighter, until all you can see in your mind is white. Just keep like that for a few moment, and ta-da! blank slate. That's the basics of it. The symbolism of purity through fire is primal, hence using a candle.

Just don't trance out and burn your house down. I might feel bad if you did... well, probably not, but I'd feign concern at the very least.

Yeah, you're at a bad age for trying to calm things down and sort them out; youth tends to amplify the importance of things. I'd have to agree with the suggestion about listening to some favorite music. As a practicing Witch, I'd also combine Skreig's and merryuu's suggestions: write down your problems, sorting them into perceived importance, and then burn the list. Watch as it burns, as the problems blacken and crumple, break apart and float away into the smoke. Feed your emotions associated with those problems into the fire as it burns. This will not rid you of problems, but helps calm me in a way that I can better sort and approach mine. Good luck! (And, if it helps, know that as you age a lot of things tend to become less important and therefore less problematic. It's one of the joys of aging.)

Just breathe. (: Take a few minutes to write down some thoughts.
Maybe even write down the things you gotta focus on and make a little schedule.
Or meditate. :B

Meditate or filter

1) simple technique, stare at a single point on an object and focus (just glare and relax)

or a blunt object to the cranium should do it (jk btw)
