I liked Aura Kingdom, but it didn't really grab me. I didn't really feel fully immersed in the game. I read the story, and I liked the story/quests, but as an MMO, it didn't feel challenging enough.

I got to around level 45 before I quit. One minor gripe I had with the game was that there weren't many dungeons/instances available. (Or at least there weren't many different instances levelling up.) If you exclude the hell-mode dungeons (which are essentially the same instances, but just harder), I only went in around 5-7 different dungeons by level 45. This includes the different levelled Dimensional Halls, and the Eidolon Temple.

I felt that the instances were a bit short in Aura Kingdom. Going through the entire instance in AK was a much shorter and easier experience. In Aura Kingdom, you could group with players who were above the level range of the dungeon--sometimes exceedingly so-- and this made the instances much easier. I felt that they should have "locked" the instances and levels so that you can't queue for a party if you are over the level range. The gear is also very easy to get. If they added a RNG factor to getting items in parties/instances, it would have been much harder to get good items.

On the contrary, I liked how the bosses would have special abilities that displayed red circles on the ground. That was quite nice. In some situations, I found myself having to actively move out of the way to avoid death by aoe. It was nice to be involved with the boss, even if I wasn't the tank.

On another topic--- I felt that Aura Kingdom should have more group quests, or at least mobs/monsters that were challenging enough to encourage you to form groups. On my sorc, ranger, and bard, I found it too easy to solo monsters and world bosses. One of the reasons I can think of is the involvement of the eidolons. If I so chose to, I could set my eidolon to taunt the monster, and just auto attack the monster to death. Of course, I didn't do this, but it was a very viable possibility that required little effort and a large reward. There wasn't much difficulty in these levels. Unfortunately, I didn't reach a high enough level to pvp yet, so I have nothing to say about that.

Overall, I enjoyed playing Aura Kingdom. I quite liked the story, the music, the ability to dual class, and the eidolons; but I found it a bit lackluster in some areas. I also felt that the eidolons made levelling and defeating monsters too unchallenging.

Octava if you only made it to lv 45 it is safe to say you never had a good item. Level 50 is the start of getting decent items. Higher your level the worst the drop rates get. I do agree that there should be more different instances early on. You might of fought rare monsters. But you did not solo a world boss. They would 1 hit a 45. You would also see 50 people waiting for it to spawn.

Dungeons also get harder as you level. And the game does not truly start into you hit lv 60. in Your 50s you get 4 dungeons and the Infernal Abyss at 55. Infernal abyss is a 30 min dungeon monsters start at 55 and goes to like 99 or something. Lot of people get 1 hit in there too. At 60 You get 4 OW dungs even if they are just like hell with a chance to summon a edio. You also get Skytower which has 10 floors. Also at lv 63 my edio die alot. Not by normal monsters. But in dungeons.

For the most part what you said was right at 45 there is not much to do at that point. Doubt you would get more then 2 fame quests either. at 50 you get 5. And joining a guild is a crucial part of the game sense edio spawn in guilds. Plus the possibilities of making new friends. I am not saying your review is bad. You only got to 45 which is basically the tut. Just know that there is alot of dungeons later on. And that the game gets hard enough to 1 hit people who does not dodge powerful boss attacks.

Hey guys my current Character is Named Serj I am a lv 61 Guardian/Ravanger On Hydra. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on leveling up. I been grinding party dungs but sense it usually takes me over 30 min to find or make a party. I figure perhaps someone can suggest some tips. Or there might be someone who's looking for friends to party up with. Or even talk to. I normally only do Otherworlds and Infernal Abyss.

What I did was, I spam OW party/hell dungeons and everytime my perma party is having a break, I try to do all OW solos. Just keep that rotation going and finish all your fame quests as well. BTW, the exp you would get from OW party is a lot higher than the exp you'll get from dailies.

Can't login. I've seen this problem with other people and someone made a pic with SAO saying "Can't logout" followed by Aura Kingdom "Can't login" I laughed so hard because it was so true.

I was curious as to if this game is pay to win or not. I hear mixed things from different people so I don't know. Anyone have input? If it isn't I might give it a shot.

I would not bother with the game. I got sick of it. Quit it at about 65. Most of the casual non pay 2 win gamers quitted the game due to the terrible server issues. While it seemed to work decently last time I got on. What this means is item prices go up with time instead of down. While it was pretty fair early on now days it is ridiculous. Many guilds lack the actives to make more then 1 party for a dungeon runs. More less the guild leader party of pros you wont get in.

You get stuck with randoms that DC or type when they suppose to heal getting everyone wiped out. Plus the drop rates are ultra low. Some people have enough luck to get 3 good items in a row from ow solos within 10 min. other can max there dungeon runs for a week straight get nothing. The game it self is fun enough for me. But im not spending over $100 for a decent set of armor. I watched 2 guilds more less slowly died. went from like 40 people online at a time to like 4 or 5. If you do decide to play you can craft a 50 set cheaply which would hold you over to 65 alright. But you would want the Requiem set. All I know is if the 60 set is this hard to get I do not want to imagine the 70 set down the road.

I am considering Tera or Rift personally.

This might a be a really late reply now since AK came out like a "millions" of years ago, but I'm quite enjoying the game now.

I'm actually curious if there's still anyone here that plays the game.

Well if you guys are interested hit me up!

I played during Beta, got up to level 50, got bored, stopped playing. Picked it up again this year, got to level 40 in 11 hours on one character, ended up only playing around 40 hours tops and got bored again, quit. I feel like AK is both too easy and too predictable - it's main point seems to be aesthetics and it definitely does draw a particular target audience but that's the extent of it.

I'm loving Aura Kingdom! Currently it's the only mmo I really enjoy a lot and play very frequently. I play with a friend very often. I have never really played games like this often before aside from being a kid playing Wizard101 and such, but it's really fun.

I play as a gunslinger/duelist and I love the combos. I love coming up with new strategies for killing monsters. Since I PVP with my guild often I've been getting tips and learning. Overall it's a pretty great game.

Now I'm just waiting for SAO to come out in real life -_-
