From CR's synopsis:

“They are creatures only known as ‘Mushi,’ whose abilities range well into the supernatural. While their existence and appearances are unknown to the humans around them, there are a few like Ginko who is a ‘Mushi-shi’ that travels around to investigate and find out more about the ‘Mushi.’ During the course of his discovery and understanding, he helps those who are troubled by the Mushi themselves…”

I know what I'll be watching on the 4th of next year. This should be awesome though. It's been years since Mushishi got anything in animation form. I thought Funimation would of gotten this though but this was a very pleasant surprise. What's everyone feeling's on seeing Mushishi again?

I'm looking forward to watching it. Mushi-shi was one of the first anime DVDs I bought some years back.

Is this something new? Or are they just showing the show on Funimation?

^ that and...

This is completely new 60 minute OVA picking up 7 years after the end of the anime or so says one source online. IT may or may not be used to promote a special project associated with the series.

^^yeah me too, what's nice about Mushi-Shi is that almost every story seems kind of self-contained so it's one of those shows where you can pick it up and watch it from any point in the series pretty much, they're like bed time stories for me in a sense that they really succeed in taking me away to a far off land and then they leave me with such a sense of peace when it's all said and done in the end.

Wait, the 4th? As in January 4th? I wonder if I can fit the series in before then, I've been putting it off for a long time.

In any case it'll give me something to look forward to on my birthday.

I am looking forward to this, too. Mushi-shi is one of only few anime that are excellent in my eyes.

Idk. I tried watching the series (it's a series right with episodes?) and couldn't get into it. But that's just me.
