My entire reason to sub was it allows me to see new shows and not have to wait for them to come out on disc. Cost is way cheaper than buying. In fact today, I spend 170 on anime and manga. That is a couple years of crunchy roll. CR also needs financial income to keep it legal and add free. Supporting your suppliers is the only way.

Yeah I also spent a good junk of work/christmas money on anime on boxing day CR works out much cheaper and they do have a lot of content and content keeps coming in so after my 1 month free trial is up I think i'll continue to pay for a subscription.

Well, considering that both of my web browsers (Chrome & Firefox) have adblocks installed, I'd say no.

Attack on Titan is on CR, but it looks like not for Australia (You will probably cry if you were able to see the list of shows North America gets compared to Australia on Crunchyroll).

Claymore would be great, as it is one of my favorite shows. One of my pages on My Anime List uses an awesome Clare background.

There is always hope for CR to extend licensing for certain shows to other regions as it has happened in the past.

Yes. The smooth flow without ads allows one to be more into the show and well worth the money..

Its worth it. the subs are more accurate to the translation than most fan subs (but it isnt correct 100% of the time.) you dont get ads, and
You get to support the creators, so if there is an anime you really really enjoyed, you are doing your part to get the creators to make another season.
The HD is way better than streaming.

of course, the downsides are that you are only limited to what the subscription has to offer, and although CR has some great titles, they dont have every good- great anime ever made.

The only time I don't buy membership for this site is when all my favorite shows reach their final episode and there's that big break.
Then when they start up again, I re-subscribe. That gap between when my favorite shows reach the finale and when the next season starts gives me a chance to catch up on the ones I put in my queue but never got around to watching. : )

However I enjoy supporting the anime industry and unlike those annoying little punks who private messages me and begging for guest passes, I have some self respect so $7.00 p/m is like.. almost nothing.

-More anime is subbed than dubbed so you're very limited in what you watch.
-Subbed contains more emotion and connects you better with the anime since it's translated as intended. However, watching dubs, the wording can be entirely different and have a different feeling or a not so genuine quality to it.
-Paying for subscription is relatively cheap if you go for the $60 a year anime plan and you support the anime producers and voice actors. Support can lead to a new season of your favorite anime.
-Dubbed anime can also have censorship changes like less violence and blood. Ex. One Piece
-You get a fancy star when you become a member lol

My reasoning. If you don't like your subscription, you can always cancel it, shrug it off, and call it an experience lol.

Well yes, if you don't have the adblocks provided by Firefox and Chrome browsers.

The adblocks IMO are enough. You don't need to spend money.

And some people wonder why the newer apps (e.g. XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, Apple TV) are premium only.

gaaaah. These people are tempting me with discussions on Dubs vs Subs!

Depending on the selection and your range of choices, a subscription to Crunchyroll is a safe bet if you want to watch simulcasted anime straight from the islands.

If you're country lacks in selection, their isn't much we can help you with. Crunchyroll has a decent selection in the states, but it's by no means conclusive, and is entirely Sub's. I'm a fan of choice myself, but it's generally current season Anime offered here, so that's just fine.

If you're more for Dub's, I don't know how to help you, as a lot of the selection Crunchyroll offers has not been dubbed yet, and some never will be. Regardless you won't find the dub here on Crunchyroll.

It sounds like you've already made your choice. The PS3 App for Crunchyroll is great, and I used it to watch Kill la Kill weekly with my Brother and Sister. You won't find great long runners on Crunchyroll, and will have to rely on other services for those shows, One Piece has only recently been added to the roster, and is missing the greater half of 600 episodes.

And if you're using adblocker, shame on you! The ads are a revenue source I'll have you know! If you can't be damned to wait 15 seconds and go get a drink every once in a while, something could be wrong with you!

It's not like Hulu+...good god does Hulu+ like being mean. It's subscription AND has Ads! And not stupidly placed Ads like CR either, I'm talking at just the perfect moments after the opening, before the ending, and right at the eyecatcher!

of course it's worth it. watching anime on the big screen is the best shit. $6.95/11.95 a month is cheap. it's literally pocket change.
