No argument about filler here.

I don't think I have one that I would make better; but if I had one; I would put the series on a target circle, and drop a nuke. Problem solved

C^3...if they took out the incredibly forced "dark" parts of the series and made it a regular cute and comedic slice of life, it would be a lot better.

...You've actually heard of C^3?! Sorry...

Mine would be... MajiKoi (Maji de watashi ni koishinisai). 1st episode really hooked me, and up the halfway point seemed like a nice cliche harem ecchi romance comedy anime (they can actually be a little refreshing at times...), but the last half of the series...
I guess it did need plot, but comparing with its source material, I would have preferred it to focus more on the Koi part of MajiKoi.

Chrome Shelled Regios, Total Eclipse, and 99% of all other what-turn-out-to-be-harem: the irritating thing is that they really do come up with good premises that should make for 1st-rate stories. But, sure enough, one love-interest becomes two, strong woman becomes unreasonably helpless, two love-interests become three, elementary- or middle-school level drama takes over, and... what was the plot again?

I wonder if this explains some of the disdain people have for harems. I mean, the lame guy fawned on by 4-to-7 girls can be irritating, but I think the real kicker is the sense of waste when a good plot goes down the drain, in my view anyway.

And I'm just now noticing TripleBaka's post above... I think I'm basically saying what he said in a more long-winded way.
Also... you are correct to say "Sorry" upon finding out that someone else has heard of C^3.

Coppelion ! Some people liked but some not for a couple of reasons

1 Follow the manga more closely

2 Some people dont like Aoi's whining so maybe take that out and some of the more emotional scenes!

Sword Art Online - Give us more insight into the world(s), not just Kirito's one man hero's tale. I will actually not compare this to Log Horizon or .hack, instead I will say make it more like Magi. Magi has a variety of characters and each of them get plenty of back story and screen time. SAO with a flow closer to Magi's would have been nice.

Shining Hearts ~Shiawase no Pan - Give it a plot !!! It has no plot (on it's own). It is an anime about a game that is a prelude to another game. From what I understand the whole plot of Shining Hearts is explained in Shining Blade... leaving Shining Hearts itself as a very dull and confusing show. I don't recommend watching it but if you do, keep in mind one thing :
In essence that is not a spoiler, because they never reveal that in the anime. It is the most important plot point because it makes some things make sense, yet they say nothing about it at all.

Naruto - Stop stalling. All I ask for. Both the manga and the anime stall too much with a crap load of exposition. I love Naruto when it actually moves along with the plot, because it has a decent plot.

That is about it I think.

Don't worry One Piece's fillers are very easy to manage. The filler arcs are always between story arcs, (Never during them), and there is usually only one filler arc. The exception to this was that there were some blatant holiday filler episodes (very few) during some arcs. Each One Piece episode in actuality is probably only around 15 minutes in length. The intros and when they had them endings, plus the recap, takes up about 5-6 minutes of the show.

They try their hardest to make sure the series doesn't get annoying, while at the same time cutting enough of the actual story so it doesn't catch up to the manga.

Not so much disliked Anime as much as disliked character type but... give some of those useless weak characters a little back-bone. I understand being scared or shy... but... really there IS a limit to it I think... or the having to depend entirely on the, usually male, stronger character to save your hide... really gets annoying.

If CLANNAD wasn't overly Moe, didn't drag, wasn't over-dramatic, have characters whose personalities were based on "cuteness/kawaiiness", had a better plot, if Nagisa actually HAD a personality instead of being a Moe-blob, if the pacing was better...

Then I might have liked the series. Maybe.

This exactly. Do something similar for Anohana too, and that one's a bigger maybe.

So change Clannad from KyoAni to J.C Staff...that might be too godlike lol

Turn Anohana into a horror/thriller where Menma comes back to haunt the friends that were jealous of her and forgot about her. She takes them out one by one and make her "letters" death flags. That sounds stupid as heck, but better than the original.

Anohana is another that is pretty much like Clannad.

SO many modern animes fall into this pitfall - honestly, what happened to characters with ACTUAL personalities? Now they're all moe-blobs, or fake-kawaii, or they act like little children. It's utterly ridiculous.
