Sorry if it sounds stupid, but I'm young and I don't have a full visa card yet, and my parents won't let me use theirs. So if I go into a retailer, pick up the prepaid card and use it on crunchyroll, will it work?

Again, sorry if it sounds stupid, I've never used anything outside of prepaid Ultimate Gamer Cards.

I don't think so. Here are your current payment options:

There is a credit card option, however, I think that's for non-prepaid credit cards. You might want to send your question directly to Crunchyroll support via the Contact Us link (http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact) and ask them if they could work with you on a payment method. I'm sure they'd be happy to work something out with you. Maybe you could buy a prepaid card and give them the numbers over the phone and have them set-up an account that is only billed once.

Cheers.

So weird. I could swear I just posted a reply to this about a half hour ago. Let's try again.

Would your parents consider using their card to purchase you a gift membership? (You could pay them, then they could use their card to buy the membership as a gift in the Crunchyroll store.) Unlike when you subscribe yourself as a premium member, gift memberships do not automatically renew--so they only pay for exactly the length of membership they purchase and won't have the card charged every month or every year or whatever. Also, as far as I can tell they don't need to have an account to make the purchase. Here are direct links, where they can choose 1 month, 3 month, or year memberships as a gift.

How it works is, they enter your email address (or even their own if they prefer), and the code, with a url for redeeming it, is emailed to that address.

/store/p/82552/Anime-Membership-Gift

/store/p/82544/All-Access-Membership-Gift

Might be worth a try.

A pre-paid card should work just like a credit card (more like a debit, maybe) in most cases. The only issue I've heard of is a possible discrepancy with your billing address and the card not matching that.

You probably want to use something stronger than a "Ultimate Gamer Card"; it is a good bet to grab a VISA in like SevenEleven to get membership. But yes. It is possible to use Pre-Paid cards as a payment to get crunchyroll membership.

Excuse the delay of the response. I didn't test out my idea until recently.
