Personally I've grown tired of this. Its as if CrunchyRoll doesn't want to fix the obvious problems of the PS3 and hoping that people will move to the PS4 app. Well I'm not buying the next gen any time soon so I'm here with a PS3 and a Vita. What's the deal? Well I know this isn't new to the forums but might as well put my viewpoints in of what problems the PS3 has on both my systems. I've had people reply saying "oh mine works just fine and never crashes" but for me I own one fat system and one super slim system. Both are directly linked via ethernet line and have a very strong fast connection. Both crash with similar symptoms. I've deleted and reinstalled the apps, checked maturity settings, and other mentioned fixes but nothing resolves the problem. If you watch different episodes all in succession with each other you're guaranteed a crash 3 or so episodes in. If you scroll too fast or through too many episode selections in the menu screen you're guaranteed a grey screen lock meaning you must reboot your PS3. I watch anime with a friend each Friday using Crunchroll and we can predict almost 75% of the time a crash will occur causing us to return to the PS3 home screen. The last patch for this was a loooong ways back and I don't see any effort by CR to fix this.

Speaking of effort it is nearing 2 years since the announcement of the Vita app. What is the deal? They have pumped out several apps for multimedia boxes, consoles, and phones during that time and the Vita app still remains dormant without any word of progression. There is a limit to patience and I believe it will never come. And if it does it'll be too late to matter. I really want to be proved wrong and that VERY SOON I'll have a FLAWLESS app on my Vita because the time spent waiting I shouldn't expect any bugs or problems. Of course that's a very long shot considering how long its been and terrible state of the PS3 app. Sure I can watch shows but crashes are expected now and easily predicted with no countermeasures. Terrible support CrunchyRoll. You may be a great streaming service but when it comes to apps like the PS3 and Vita there is much to be desired.

The Vita app was announced in July, not 2 years ago. Anything before that was unofficial or rumors. Heck, the PS3 app hasn't even been out for two years.

Yes, you're right. In July of 2012! Not 2013.

And as said it is nearing 2 years. You can split hairs about it not being exactly two years but with it being only half a year away and the delay it might as well be. You might also see that the PS3 app was announced at the same time. Of course this is word of Crunchyroll so I'm pretty sure this is not unofficial or rumored otherwise my anger wouldn't be justified without doing my homework on the subject and when it was announced.

Read the link I provided. The Vita app was not officially announced until July 2013.

Like I already said, anything before that was not an official release. The press release from 2012 said the Vita app is planned for later, but no official announcement was actually made on when it would be available.

I'm not splitting any hairs about it being 2 years or not, you are. I only provided a link to the actual official release announcement for the VIta app, which was in July 2013.

I agree that the wait is long, and it would be nice to get an update.
