So I've added the new winter titles to my queue but they don't actually show up on my list. Is this just because there's no episodes yet?

If possible I'd really like to be able to rearrange them before episodes start coming out since I have a rather large amount of shows in my queue.

That is correct. Once the first episode is available you will see the show in your queue.

Yes, that's exactly it--no shows, can't organize queue. Usually within a day or few they will put a preview in there if they can get it, and then you'll be able to move stuff around. But not everything has a preview, or sometimes they might not get permission.

Not ideal, but you'll still have to tweak (sometimes they add more shows/catalog entries late too), but that's how it has been for a while now. Maybe Bjaker will communicate a suggestion to the programmers...

It's something I've been hoping changes for a while now. If I add anything to my queue, I like to then immediately decide where it shows up. Even (in fact, especially) for new titles.

If I can't move a "must watched first" show to the head of my (long!) queue, how will I know when the episode goes live?

I use the RSS feed along with a Chrome plugin simply called RSS Feed Reader which has settings (you must find and configure them after installation, it's not automatic) that allow for icon count (and pop-up if desired) notifications. I know within 10 or so minutes of the appearance of every new vid on the site, sometimes ones that haven't even been announced yet.

That works fine if you watch CR primarily (or exclusively) through the website.

I pretty much only use the TV apps. Only using the website to order my queue, never to watch things from it.

And this is where the problem with not being able to edit a queue with empty shows in really kicks in.
I can't edit my queue form the apps. So I won't know a first episode goes live unless I check the very end of the queue, Every day, At which point I then have to switch to the computer simply to reorder the queue.

But if we could re-order any items (even empty shows), I could pre-set everything when I am on the website so that everything is ready for when I use the apps.

I mostly watch via Roku, only rarely using the browser when an episode translation is late.

But I have Chrome up all the time, also watching for subscribed forum thread notifications with Beardfist's CR extension (the orange circle, a bit obscured, to the left of the red circle in my pic above), so it's not a problem for me to get notified in one place and watch in another. I get the show notification in chrome and watch the show on the Roku, which doesn't have a per updated episode queue, just the main show queue,. I have to first find the show, which I order alphabetically (and just leave it that way for the season), and then go within the show, which then does start on the next episode after where I left off, so at least I don't have to look for episode numbers.

If you aren't big on forum participation, then sure, I can see that it's inconvenient to have a browser up all the time, but I almost never shut mine down because I'm on here all the time.

Your tv app works differently than either Roku or Android then, so I can see how you might need to manipulate it more often.

Well I eventually reorder mine (alphabetically) near the beginning of the season, only tweaking it when they add a late entry or a catalog title. But I can appreciate how our habits are different due to the difference in our forum use...

Another user elsewhere mentioned how he orders his show queue by days of the week in the order that shows come out... I might try doing that; it sounds like then all I will need to do is to find the first show that day, and then just back out and scroll right one show as each finishes. Things that make you go hmmm...

I also order my queue based on release times down to the hour. This is generally how I watch them throughout the season. I only occasionally skip over them if I'm strapped for time and really want to see a particular episode.

The RSS feed reader is a good thing as well and I do use it as an assistant. It also helps me see if something has been added to the site that I may have missed.
