Quite honestly, J-Rap and K-Rap sound so much better than the shit we got here. I think it's because of one thing that they still remember, rhythm, groove and just all around catchiness that today's era of music just don't have. Hell I listen to Home Made Kazoku every so often and I wouldn't mind going to see their performances sometime.

They need too. Rap music is trash here in the states.

Don't see why not.. I'll characterize them by their delivery/ originality/ innovation/ content, not their race.

Maybe Korean Rap, but Japanese rap definitly not. Japanese rappers are too whack. They have no flow, never getting the tact correct and no skills at all. In Japan a rapper is allready good if he has some doublyrhymes - lol.

But in the end what Asian rappers generally miss is that they are not hip hop, they are only pop. And for that they fail as rappers. And then it doesn't matter if you for your own opinion like Asian rap more than American rap. American rap is even with all auto tune and such stuff more hip hop than asian rappers ever could be. They lack their own hip hop identity and that is something very essential in hip hop.

Asians, especially the Japanese do mix pop in everything, if it is rock, hip hop, punk or what ever. That's why I detest asian music except for pop.

i dont think americans would accept asian rappers or singers. of course there a few who do like it , but most americans would be like "what the hell is this chink doing here?" if you look at boa and the wondergirls, most of their fans in america are asians who live there. i dont think america in general would open up to asian music

I believe that all the Americans won't, but that's only because some asians don't have proper english.
And like Se7en, I think the only reason why he didn't quite suceed in the US was because he was Korean and because his english wasn't as good as a regular American. I mean, listen to Se7en's song "Girls". I bet that if Usher or T-Pain or Akon sang that song, it'd be so famous. I bet it would be famous if one of those three sang it instead of Se7en.
And when they laugh at us asians when we rap, that's not right either. Most of our sexy asian singers/rappers can rap real good like Big Bang and Micky from DBSK.
I just think that they need to stop laughing at us and our singers. It's not right and if they just give us a try in the US, all those sexy singers like DBSK, Big Bang, Super Junior, SHINee, all them would make it. But what they did to Se7en was messed up for real...
They should be like us. We would accept any American singer in Asia. Because we're not racist..

I dont think asian rap will get accepted by americans yet.....it will take a looooooooong time for that to happen. Because of culture barrier. Asians prefer different style of rapping and fashion, although fashion is slowly getting accepted in mainstream america. I actually enjoy the fact that not many people in north america are familiar with asian music. It makes me feel like Im listening to something more unique than the rest of the people here

It'll be hard for someone as popular as Big Bang to come to America and be famous unless all of the American fans they have already tries to promote them. Naturally I think they'd be a hit but in my honest opinion, I think Americans that aren't fans of Asian music will definitely not accept them and will not hesitate to bash on them and make fun of them even when they're so talented.

I do hope someday that Asian artists would be more accepted in America. Like the Wonder Girls, just from the comments you see about them on the yt videos from their tours with the JBs, Americans are not fond of them unless they've already known them before their USA Debut.

-[edit]ooh and I seriously hope Timbaland never works with Big Bang because of the way he handled that One Republic thing.. the song Apologize came out with his name and no one even knew who was the real singers until later clarification. It wasn't even his original work but he got lucky as hell and got to it before anyone else could put their name on it, seriously I hated him for that.. LOL but at least I got to find out the real band that did the song so that's good I guess.. but still -

Some of it is already known in the United States.
For instance I know a lot of people who like Nujabes, DJ Krush, Teriyaki boyz and Shing02, but that's underground hip-hop so it won't chart, yet the artists are respected
