This topic has been discussed before on this forum and most people that reply on it are going to say that it didn't change them and that they feel no different since they started watching anime which is really upsetting. As for me on the other hand, anime has made me a better person. If I ever get in a hateful, or rude mood, I think about an anime character I really admire and think about how they would react instead of how I want to. This leads me to make smarter, more productive reasoning to help end a conflict as oppose to making it heat up even more. In general, a lot of animes opened my eyes to problems I previously could have cared less about. Elfen Lied taught me about cruelty and treating everyone equal, Clannad taught me about pain. Clannad also made me come under the realization of how much I want a daughter when I get older. I didn't think I wanted kids at all before I saw Clannad, but after I saw Clannad: After Story I knew I wanted something to protect from the world. Lastly, Bleach. Bleach, or I guess I should just say Ichigo, made me realize how much I want to protect those that I care about. Also if I am doing something physically demanding and struggling, I think of Ichigo and his determination so that I can push through it.

These are some things I personally feel, although not everyone will have the same reaction to the shows I mentioned, or will they have the same life changing experiences.

I watch anime for my worth of time.

Anime is a very shallow show made in japan, anime has no plot, anime always ignore character development, anime likes trainwrecks, anime likes to make plot holes without explanation, Anime is Hyperactively Shallow.

I`m not an Otaku/Fanboy/Elitist/Hater or whatever.
i`m a person who always laugh at shitty anime with pleasure because some bad anime can be enjoyable to watch.

Everytime i watch anime most of the time.

History repeat itselfs.

Honestly, anime has made me realize how wonderful life and the world is. I used to have very cynical tendencies (and to some extent, I still do), but anime has really convinced me that's there's magic going on in the little details of life that we fail to notice sometimes. Everyday life is a truly wonderful thing - but I hadn't noticed that until I started watching anime.

Not every series does this to me - its usually stuff like Aria, Azumanga Daioh, Non Non Biyori, even Hidamari Sketch. It has really led me to appreciate the everyday things that I used to find tedious and sisyphean.

EDIT - Especially Aria. I swear, Akari could make sitting around doing absolutely nothing seem wonderful without even trying. Aria emocias mian spiriton! - But embarrassing remarks aren't allowed!!! For myself!!! 'sigh'

But that's just me.
