Too bad its only for PS3 and not PS4...

I can appreciate ATLUS's pursuit in keeping the PS3 relevant for a longer lifespan (ignoring that many had anticipated this scenario given their history of production, so this might not be their intent lol)~
But you're right! A PS4 release for PERSONA 5 would bring some much needed ~VITALITY~ for that fresh console right now ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

They should have released it for both.

I think they were too far along in production for that to be possible. they were making the game for sometime for the ps3 it would be easier for them to make a port or something later on down the road though.

I WANT this game but then I don't >_> I WANT to play it but my PS3 is in the livingroom and persona involves a bit of grinding so my WHOLE family is gonna have to watch me run around for hours in dungeons looking for monsters..... I feel sorry for them :'3

This could have been avoided if the PS4 came out earlier in Japan...

I have not played any persona but if they relase any to ps4 i'm gonna buy

My friend, you RE-E-A-A-LLY need to play Persona 3: FES on PS2 and Persona 4: Golden on PS Vita. In that order. They're just....daaaang. Some of the best stories, gameplay, and just plain fun I've ever experienced. And my first game was Asteroids on the Atari 2600 at age 9...

It's true! FES was the first Persona game that i played and it completely shook me to the core. I was never into turn-based JRPGs until that game. After i played FES i played P4, and it soon became my favorite game OF ALL TIME! It remained that way until P4 Golden came out for the Vita and it took my favorite game and improved it. I strongly recommend playing both of those titles.

The stories are fantastic, the characters are delightful, and the combat a breeze to comprehend but can get more in-depth on harder difficulties.

That being said if you enjoy those titles i also recommend playing the first two titles as well. They are different, but could have the best stories of the series. (personally opinion of course, everyone has their own views)

In short, you will not regret playing these games!

Realistically, I don't think they will. And I hope they don't stray too far from the playstyle that we enjoy so much. We'd be hard-pressed to find it anywhere else that isn't strictly a visual novel.
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Fingers crossed that the brilliant minds over are working in the best capacity to make exactly what they envision ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I just hope they don't take out social links or change the game from turn based to well, anything else really.

Can't wait to see some new characters and what the Personas will look like, I also want some info on the plot and some potential antagonists. Atlus rarely disappoints, so I'm already hyped

I loved Persona 4, so I'm hopeful it wont take too long for P5 to get a local release.

Honestly, because they have hardly released any info on P5, I'm more hyped for Persona Q...

I mean, the cast of P3 and P4 in the same game, how cool is that?

I think im in the same boat as you... I really hope they have a good story for how the protagonist from Persona 3 is back. But im sure it will just be a non linear storyline. Either way the fact that both casts are back is awesome. At first i wasn't huge on the idea of them being Chibi, but now I'm actually pretty stoked about it.

Not to mention my 3DS needs another good game.

slowly working through SMT IV and P3: FES right now, then on to P4... hopefully have both of those done and perhaps the digital devil summoners by the time P5 is out. I just needed a reason to finally get the ps3 xD

I own every persona game (either on PSP/Vita or 360) right now, but I've only completed Innocent sin and Arena's storyline, and I'm currently working on Golden. The persona series is one of my favorite game series out there currently, so of course I'm looking forward to all the games that where announced.

I had been looking into Persona 4 the Ultimax: Ultra Suplex Hold ever since rumors of Yukari and Junpei where floating around. I loved the original (even if I sucked hardcore at it), so when I was glad to hear that this was a full sequel. Now if only I had a PS3...

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth caught my eye immediately, if only for the fact that Minato/Makoto was back and that it was for 3DS, the only console I had at the time that would get some Persona love. This is Probably #1 on my list of games to get when It comes out.

As for Persona 4: Dancing all Night, it definitely caught me off guard, but then I remembered that one of the best parts of Persona is it's music. After realizing that, I was all for it, especially after I got a Vita for Christmas.

And then, of course, Persona 5. All we got to work off of was a couple of chairs with balls and chains on the legs, but I was so hyped up, i didn't know what to do with myself. Then I was ultra sad when I realized that it was only for PS3. Still, I look forward to seeing how the game is received, and how the story and characters play out.

I totally forgot about that... I was awful at the first one as well, but they ended with a complete cliffhanger. I Junpei is probably my least favorite character in the series, but i loved Yukari. Either way this is a title ill be picking up for sure. Hopefully i improve a ton by the time that one comes out..
