Today I got thinking about an old Saying which goes: Nobody can Live Without Love"

Do you think a person can live without love? (this includes no real friendships, socializing, or family love of any sort)

Probably not.

Definitely not as an infant/child. Maybe a person could live without being loved by someone in their adult life, but I doubt they could live without loving something (pet, flower, blowup doll, etc.).

Problem is that unless you're going to sequester yourself as a hermit somewhere in deep in the wilds of North Dakota, you, as an adult human, will seek out either a way to express love towards something or you will seek out the most addictive of all human conditions: praise.

Could you live without being loved? Maybe, but would it really be living or just not being dead?

Well I've heard that humans are social creatures in general which is why there's stories about people who get stranded alone and start to create personalities for inanimate objects. They do this because at some point they must interact with something whether it is real or not. I would say that now it is easier then ever to have friendships, and socialize with people because of the internet we are able to maintain or form relationships with people digitally while still getting the same feelings we would get if we were to interact in real life. I guess people can live without love, but I feel like it is a necessary part to be happy in life. But this is just my thoughts based on what I've seen and experienced and it varies depending on ones personality.

to me love is one of the most basic needs for the human condition. technology can enable us to have easier communication. but that does not mean that we are going to have an easier time finding friendships/love on the internet. those relationships are not completely real or at lease that alone it is not, for a person to truly love something or someone they need physical contact. But this is just my personal case i don't know.

If I was living in a pool of money, I wouldn't care about love.

If I don't live without one of those types, then there's no reason to live.

Can a individual live without the fondness of friendship, family and communicating with other people?

I do not think so.
I think everyone on this planet wants to receive endearment and a connection from at least one individual in their life. If someone does not successfully find such a person or affection from their family or who they considered a friend, usually certain people will look for/share affection on a different route (e.g. attaching themselves to a fictional character, electronic devices, music, internet et cetera.) This is how I personally perceive it though.

It depends on who the person is.

You could but it would be a bit empty without it given that humans are social creatures.

Absolutely not. Love can mean a lot of things. Family love, romantic love, friendship love, and possession love. If you are a loner you have a passion (love) still for something, such as wealth.

Not having love of any kind can't be healthy and it really gives nothing to live for in any case.

Love as in just people? I think it's possible to not love people.
I feel like he would love something such as a hobbie or interest.
Heck, that person could "love" being alone and unloved.

Everyone's different. That would quite the character.

Hilarious. Love isn't even part of evolution.
