Don't let the nutrition label on the Cheerios box fool you. Cheerios still has a lot of sugar, it is just hidden as Carbohydrates.

Cheerios has a Glycemic Index of 74.

Sucrose, aka table sugar, has a GI of 68.

The lower the number, the better. A high GI increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

At least Cheerios are becoming a little healthier now that General Mills has agreed to stop using GMO ingredients in the production of original Cheerios.

I don't eat cereals but if I do, or I'm at a friends, it would be something like Weet-Bix or Cocoa Pops.
I normally cook eggs, vegetables and some kind of meat or have oats.

That sounds great. Unfortunately, I am not what you would call a morning person.

Truth is my sleeping habits are screwed, so my "breakfast" would be somebody else's lunch.
There are occasions when I'm up at 7am cooking though, but that's only when I haven't slept at all.
