Which would you be?

What powers would you have?

Where would you be located (doesn't have to be in this universe)?

in stories, the villains tend to have a more interesting backstory/personality... like take naruto for example, that madara masked guy has quite an interesting ideologies... it's almost like... communism in a way and collectivism.

and like in Harry potter, voldemort sealed 7 pieces of his soul away... that is so much more interesting to me... than the main hero... who was born with a thunder scar and is a four-eyed geek.

A hero of course! I would fight for justice with only the power of my words
We don't need superpowers or to live in some fantasy world to be heroes!

1) That's a matter of perspective, isn't it? Though I'd think any reasonable person would agree that I was a hero.

2) Since you didn't put any restrictions on it, all of them. It just wouldn't be very heroic to let the world fall under the grasp of a villain that you couldn't defeat because you refused to take some vital power.

Admittedly, that would make a rather more interesting story than having all the powers. Though they say absolute power corrupts, which would make for an interesting story as well. Also, having all the powers doesn't mean you can't be manipulated.

If I weren't going to eat the entire superpower buffet, though, I'd settle for immortality/eternal youth and regeneration/indestructibility.
Enhanced physical capabilities, telekinesis at the object level as opposed to manipulating atoms, shapeshifting and telepathy would be nice extras, but simply being able to accumulate lifetimes worth of knowledge and contacts would be plenty to change the world.

3) I'm kind of partial to the idea of a fortress flying in the sky, kind of out of the way, with a nice view.

villain. hmm, I would say Mind Control because let's be honest that would be the easiest thing to do evil things with. my sanctum would be a house in a cave that is buried within a giant waterfall.

I would be the kind of hero that fights for what he believes is right... So much so that in the end I'd probably be a villain in the eyes of everyone.

My powers would probably be obvious, the most destructive and completely unnecessary amount of powers than any hero would need including a power sword, power armor, enhanced strength, ocular enhancements, hand beam blasters, flight, and a twisted sense of justice!

My base? Well, that's simple... it would be a bitchin' Camaro! (YouTube Dead Milkmen if you need reference for this)

I am reminded of the quote at 2:18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=bYu8js9rAH4#t=138
I think there's something to be said for classics like the waterfall hiding spot, myself, but that character was still a riot despite his lack of appreciation for tradition.
