I'd also say majority of the anime I've watched are better than the manga simply because they provide so much more. Awesome soundtrack, colour and motion, good voice acting to elicit emotion etc.
I just find that with already provided character designs, backgrounds and settings, the imagination usually associated with books is taken away, so it's better off being animated than being still pictures.

I agree with this. And also, making anime adaptations gives the author a chance to fix, change, or enhance anything when looking back on previous chapters, so it could be better in the anime.

I noticed in the manga for Blue Exorcist everything happens very fast compared to the anime. In terms of artwork, I think I prefer the anime compared to the manga for Attack on Titan. And the beginning in Black Butler is much better in the anime than in the manga, and also the events that happened throughout the anime are much more to grab your attention, although the anime and manga were written by different people. Basically I favor anime over manga because it's like a better version than in the manga a of times, but I still love to read the mangas too.

Yu Yu Hakusho is definitely better as an anime than a manga. They expanded the final arc in the manga by quite a bit and other details were added that made the series feel better. The manga ended pretty abruptly so expanding the final arc definitely improved the series as a whole.

Usagi Drop on the basis that I despise the manga's ending.

Just a little bonus information I happen to know.

apparently Yu Yu Hakusho's manga ended so abruptly because the Creator hated the Anime Director, and couldn't get him fired. So he said "You know what? BAMN, Yu Yu Hakusho is over, YOU CAN'T ANIMATE WHAT DOESN'T EXIST, BITCH! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I'ma go make Hunter X Hunter and bang the creator of Sailor Moon now, kthanksbye"

Or so the story goes.

There are not a whole lot of examples I can actually think of... Even FMA:B has imperfections due to the first part of the series being rushed (mostly because we saw it already in the first series...) also, they cut the best scene ever out with Kimblee...
XD

However, despite that one major flaw, it is probably the closest series that I can think of that may be a bit better than the manga form... Animation being beautiful and most key things done perfectly helps things go a long way.

Birdy The Mighy:Decode blows the manga out of the water. The personalities of the characters and art style of the show make it so much better of an experience then the manga.
