A suggestion to implement a simple and easy to implement yet significant feature, a 'lights off' button.

The colour scheme of the website is extremely bright and cheery, which is generally fine, but can be very jarring and off-putting when watching shows without fullscreening, particularly darker or more serious shows, sometimes I even find myself switching to another site to watch certain shows because of this. I suggest implementing a button to make the background plain black or dark grey, or just changing the colour scheme of the page to be darker, giving a cinema effect. If you insist, crunchyroll, it can be made a premium only feature, giving more incentive to upgrade

An example where this has been successfully implemented is at animefushigi, which has a 'light' and 'dark' toggle setting, changing the colour scheme, which had greatly improved the atmosphere.

I am sure I am not the only one whom has had this cross their minds, and I hope that you will consider implementing this feature

If your using google chrome, they have a lights off extension that basically darkens the rest of the page except for the video your watching.
Or you could just go full screen

It's not hard at all to change the color scheme of the site to a darker color if you click a button. jQuery makes it even easier to do so. So, making it Premium only I think would take a little more effort than just making it so everyone sees the button. I myself don't see a reason for it to be implemented over various other features since I would think a majority of visitors use full screen mode.

I can only assume the person is multi-tasking, and running at least one other program at the same time. That is the only reason that comes to mind at the moment, although unless that other program also has a dark screen, it wouldn't seem the light background at CR would be that much of an issue.

If this is not the case, I would also be curious why they are resistant to going full screen.
