Okay so the black line is normal for an anime like this when it airs on TV but that heart shaped lock looks odd.. Was it CR that did that or was it like that when it aired in japan?

Nope. Thats the broadcast version so that is what Japan sees (unless if they subscribe to a premium channel that has it uncensored). To see it uncensored, you'll have to wait for the blurays/dvds.
Crunchyroll uses broadcast versions, so it will most likely to be censored.

I think it was like that when it was aired in Japan. I just checked a few other sites and they all have that heart shaped lock thing. It will most likely be fairly easy to find uncensored when the Blu Ray or dvd comes out.

This probably can go in http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-832113/recently-my-sister-is-unusual-discussions

But no that is how it aired in Japan, a similar show that did something like that was Highschool DxD and its censoring.

Broadcaster:
AT-X (2014-01-05)
BS11 Digital (2014-01-09)
Sun TV (2014-01-04)
Tokyo MX TV (2014-01-04)

The one in red is you best friend, unfortunately it is not CR's best friend.

Stonewolfe is correct. This is most appropriately discussed in the show's discussion thread, therefore I've closed it as a duplicate.

It does sound like you got your answer--but you still might enjoy reading the discussion, and participating by sharing your impressions about the show.
