Clothes are inventions. Knives and axes are inventions. If nothing made by people worked and we weren't able to use any tools, I think I'd survive for a few days at most.

Electronics are gone for a while? I'll live. I probably won't enjoy the first few days or weeks, but I'll live.

If it's all inventions, that would include: cloths, homes, roads, bikes, all drinks that aren't natural, lots of foods, and many other things, so probably not.

If it's just electricity then I would easily.

If it's without any invention of man, then I would be in deep trouble because I wouldn't have any water to drink so I would die of that before I died of hunger, if the heat stroke didn't get to me first. Using our air conditioner, we manage to keep the apartment at a tolerable 28°C or close to 80°F. My door and windows are man made inventions, so supposing I can't use those to escape or get any cool air... (I'm using the current time of year for reference - if it was winter I might freeze to death but it would likely come down to all my water freezing). I rely heavily on man made inventions to deliver to me clean drinking water every day (water pipes >> tap & facet >> Brita filter >> fridge).

Supposing it's just electricity, I'm sure the people in the area would gather with their meat and other spoiling items to cook on the closest bbq with propane to share with everyone after which we would all share our other fridge & freezer food because it would just go to waste otherwise. After that I assume we'd all be eating canned food. This is pretty much what happened when we had a wide spread black out around ten years ago (does anyone remember that?).

John Barnes wrote a trio of novels about the world being attacked by nanotech that devours all petroleum based plastics and rubber. It goes into how the US government tries to survive and rebuild. Pretty interesting once you get into it.

As for myself, yes I could survive. It would take a while to get used to the new way of life but once that's done, and the looters dealt with, life would return to a semi form of normality as we try to rebuild our networks.

This happens in Earth Maiden Arjuna too. As an adult I appreciate plastics much more.

I already am, but I'd be sad without anime though.

It's less about the country rebuilding itself and more about how it got there.

Hmm.

*shoves large rock off of cliff, belting a moose from high rock, climbs inside carcass for warmth*

Seems I might be able to make it a full day without fashioned tools after all. I'll be snug as a Jedi in a tauntaun.

I could survive in the winter easily, but not in the summer. I get really bad heat rash when I'm overheated, so I'd probably pass out and have all sorts of issues from it.
