Curious to see how far people have got to with Detective Conan.

I'm currently up to ep 112, no movies or specials yet, just ova 17 (ten years future ova, in case I have wrong number.) & last chapter was 245.

My goal is to catch up with all Conan so far and hopefully see the end.

I could of sworn there was a possible similar thread months ago. But either way, I have seen up to episode 130-132. and after that I haven't seen them in order so I don't know how to list them

There probably was a similar thread, think it was about anything like conan being that long. Searched whole section, twice. Trust me, i don't think its there anymore.

It's a little experiment I'm doing, without rushing ahead and seeing the whole eps so no jumping except ops/eds I've already seen. And includes filler too.
Started way back in 2013 & curious to see where/when it ends.

The plot has developed somewhat the past 4 years... (somewhat).
Gosho once said that he wants to retire at Professor Agasa's age (53), in response to a question asking him when he wanted to end it.
Gosho will turn 53 in 3 more years.
So 2017? :)

Probably not...

I have spent roughly 3 months marathoning around 8 ep/day in average. I have watched all movies, specials, OVAs including magic kaito episodes and the TV series up to episode 720, the latest subbed episode available. I'm now a big fan of detective conan and looking forward for the next movie as well...

I caught up to the anime about four years ago at around episode 580, stayed with it until about 690. And now I'm currently rewatching the anime after realizing I never took note of my favorite cases, already at episode 596. You really notice the structure and tendencies of the series when you rewatch. I can often tell the motive and who did it quite fast.

Somewhat is correct.
I heard some similar news that the manga was getting near the climax. Well he wants to end the story then, that doesn't mean the anime will end. It's pretty popular and has been Japan's weekly puzzle show for over 10 years. I can see them pulling a Sazea san and keeping it going even after the mangaka dies.
Though did you hear the news about Anokata?

Apparently the mangaka has stated it will end happily, though it could be a clever trick.

Really loving the case in ep113, very interesting!

Love Detective Conan! Been reading the manga for the past few years and I've also gotten into the anime as well. I've watched a good portion of the original Japanese dub (to most recently English subbed) and I'm currently on season 4 of the Funimation dub.

For those who'd like to get into the series but are intimidated by the length: Detective Conan is very episodic. Watch the first couple of episodes/read the first few volumes and you'll be set to skip around to where major characters are introduced/developed and the plot moves forward.

Seen up to the more recent episodes, there are some new regular characters, and some more info on the main bad guys I think has been revealed. I imagine I have to hope I become a immortal cyborg to see the series conclusion lol. And heck even if he doesn't permanently become his original age again, they might just continue it with high school Shinichi lol.

You're really close to one of my favorite cases. Episode 118 was really great. Then again, most of the cases that Heiji appears in are great :)

Now up to 118.

Really look forward to seeing the lupin crossover special & movie.

I still don't know why they stopped the dub. I know some fans hated the name changes but it still is a great adaptation of the japanese version.
At least I can still watch the subs. Now there's an idea.
