1- Gosho himself denied that Agasa is the boss. I guess Agasa being the boss was a very popular theory among fans.
2- Gosho also stated that the ending will be a happy ending. So, I'll take it as none of our beloved main characters are going to die (Shinichi, Ran, Agasa, Kogoro, Detective Boys, Heiji, etc.)

Now, I have some comments for some of your predictions:

C. I think that would suck. I personally believe that there will be an effective antidote that will turn them back to normal. However, I honestly see Haibara not taking it, simply because she doesn't have anything to live for as a high school student, thus she wants to restart her life, without being involved with the BO. Also, that would mean she will still be part of the Detective Boys.

D. Let me just say that some of that theory actually happened

Let me also say that it's waaaaay too early for you to speculate about the final showdown. A lot of new elements are added later on, so keep watching

I look forward to seeing the rest, almost finished seeing all the dub, shame cos I honestly thought Ai had a some eps dubbed. At least there's more to the story yet.

As for my theory, I respect Agasa couldn't be the main boss. But someone who's toyed with conan from the get go & been with him most of the story would be a great twist. As for Conan faking his death, it'd be just like Sherlock. So thank you for your opinion

You're probably right that I'm making too many suggestions to the end this early on. Yet I have a habit of seeing where plots go along with the way stories/characters are woven. However, there is nothing better than being proved 100% wrong, cos it truly frightens me that it was not coming and makes the plot so much more entertaining.

I just hope conan/shinichi's flaw will be sorted as point of the plot. He always goes into these situations on his own, never thinking of relying on others or letting people know what he's upto. You'd think after being shrunk by poison he'd learn a thing or two.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the show! currently on ep124 of the sub, what would've been 131 of the dub. cStill getting used to the natural voices.

The one oddity with the show so far is it's like the simpsons, in that time passes with knowledge time has passed but the characters never age. But then if it were time going at real pace, then conan would be 17 again the long way. Strange how it works with realistic events i.e. murder in the real world logic despite the obvious lack of age progressing.

I also can't wait to see lupin the 3rd vs detective conan, promises to be an awesome film.

Well, if you're up to episode 124, then get ready for episode 128, in which TMS (the anime studio) tries to fix the mistake they made in episode 13.

I too am so hyped to see that movie. I loved the TV special, so I'm guessing I'll love the movie too

Good eye viva_cmpunker, I was wondering about that. At least they did sort it out and it blended with the anime well. Could've been a mess.

Why did they change the no. sequence for eng & jap, makes it look like there's more eng when the jap is just grouped into extra long eps?
Makes it strange to say I've watched 130 only to go back when it's after that.

Anyway, got to the ep I was most looking forward to. Ai finally makes into the anime, which is odd cos i was informed she was dubbed but clearly the ep never was. unless the voice was recorded but discarded due to the cancelation of the dub.

Up to ep 130-131. Scary how fast I've picked up the pace.

Now on ep 137.

Really tempted to catch up with current eps but I know if i don't see these, then later eps won't make sense. At least I like the ja dub, after watching dub i thought it might be a more painful transition. Sadly I feel that Detective mouri will not grow on me in jap, it just doesn't seem right. So I still have his dub voice in my mind when he speaks.

Look forward to the movie with lupin the third, wonder if they'll make it canon or if its purely for the fans, i.e. it is more akin to filler with no distinctive place between eps/stories.

There are two major mistakes that the anime made:
1- They let Akemi live in episode 13, but they corrected it and killed her off in episode 128.
2- In episode 5, the two men in black were actually Gin and Vodka, but the anime changed it to two men resembling Gin and Vodka. In fact, it's in this case where Conan learns their code names. So when episode 54 happened, it was confusing as to how Conan already knows their code names. Funimation tried to fix this on their own, when they made Conan deduce their code names from Heiji's line in episode 48. However, that made some fans who only watch the dub suspect Heiji being a Black Organization member.

The Japanese have those one hour special episodes, or some of them are two hours and you'll come across episode 345 which is a 2.5 hour special. It's also a fan favorite episode, and if I had to choose, I'd say it's my favorite episode in the series. That arc was just brilliant. The English releases had to divide the one hour episodes into two episodes, that's what lead to the different numbering.

Don't skip anything. You'll catch up sooner or later. There are countless amazing episodes that you would not want to miss. If you are enjoying it, then I obviously wouldn't recommend for you to check out the newer episodes now. I've been a fan for 14 years now, and I still love the series. That's the longest period I've been a fan of a currently running series.

Even though I like Kogoro's English voice, his Japanese voice is one of the best I've heard in any anime. The VA really captures the character's personality in comedic moments and serious moments. Sadly, the VA changes in the 500's episodes. It took a while to get used to the new VA, but after a certain period, the new VA was able to establish himself as the voice of Kogoro, and now I love the voice.

Detective Conan movies are never canon. However, we've had a few characters that were introduced in a movie before the manga. Shiratori is an example.

Thanks viva-cmpunker. At least I can over look the errors of those eps in anime since i read the manga.

Also thanks for explaining the difference in no.s, just makes it easier to remember where I'm up to.

Just so tempted to compare new animation & voice acting with current eps.

Wasn't sure if the movies were filler completely or if the mangaka wrote some of them. Either way I look forward to them.

Just curious to see when I'll catch up along with when we reach the climax.

I've seen all of the episodes up until now(and still watching them) I've seen most of the movies except the most recent one. And I've read all of the manga chapters (still reading that as well). I've seen a few of the OVAs, but not all of them.
...gosh, I just realized that. I seriously love Detective Conan...

I want to be able to say that, I love the story too. I just wished I watched it earlier, at least this way I get to enjoy more eps together.

About to start ep 140.

Currently on ep 145. Probably best to have a break from conan and catch up on some other anime for a bit.

I put this on hold for 2 years now. It's a great show but I wish we got more on the plot about the Black Organization.

Some of these smaller cases are probably tied up with them in 1 form or another. I know theres more eps with the organisation but I intend to watch all the eps, that way I don't blunder in, not understanding the later stories.

I don't mind them taking their dear sweet time, I love the cases inbetween. Granted the episodes with the Black Organization are the best ones, not excluding Kaito Kid, I don't want the fire put out before the fuel is gone. This is one instance where I'd prefer them to exhaust the series before an ultimate and epic climax. Sure there are some boring cases mixed in, but even those are times better some of the other crap that gets slathered on the screen.

You could always watch the Black Organization episodes for the plot and catch up on all the other episodes. But I say watch them all in order.

153 eps
1 ova (9th)
2 movies

Long way to go yet, torn between seeing some ovas, movies or just more eps. Really love to see latest movie with lupin, maybe later in the year once i catch up with more of the backstory.
