They copy and paste the regions straight from the contract, so if it doesn't show up as being available when the announcement, its normally a database entry error, which they can fix.

(Still waiting to see if they announce any more J-Drama...)

It would be something new ~ while they've sometimes announced multiple K-drama catalog titles at a time, they've never had more than one J-drama simulcast at a time.

But the J-drama they announced is not actually a simulcast though it is sort of being released like one. It is a catalog title.

Except for Youkai Watch and Happiness Charge Precure!, all the standard length series appear to be licensed now, so unless CR manages to grab a second license share with Funimation this season, prepare for the next announcement(s) to be a short form anime

Still no Space Dandy? I figured that'd be one of the easier licenses to obtain. Crunchyroll Pls.

What made you think that? Not only did Funimation announce it quite some time ago as one of their simulcasts, there has also been a lot of publicity over a dubbed version being broadcast on CN's Toonami before it airs in Japan.

Thanks for that ~ you can tell how intently I follow dramas that are not period pieces.

Good to see crunchy hasn't lost their touch at bending the Europeans over. Back to back seasons now!

Now THAT would be something, if Crunchyroll could somehow snag an NHK Taiga Drama, even last season's so as not to compete with TVJapan for which the Taiga drama is one of the larger draws.

But I still hope we could get a (good, good!) J-drama simulcast in the last box. I dropped the last one, just too cheesy for me... and the current Izakura na Kiss adaptation catalog title Mischievous Kiss is... also just too cheesy. Stuff that would be perfectly fine in anime, like the world's worst fake Leonid meteors just ... makes me not want to watch it in a live action drama.

Interesting to see that all "the Europeans" live in the UK and Ireland. I don't recall UK members complaining a year ago when people in the rest of Europe had fewer series than today, but the UK had more.

Based on which way the access is trending, it would seem more reasonable to "blame" AnimaxUK and Wakanim for picking up exclusive streaming licenses when non-exclusive licenses would be cheaper and allow Crunchyroll to have the stream as well.

I'd definitely be adding that to my queue.

I am very happy to see that Zvezda's Plot and Nisekoi are going to be streaming on CR since they've been the ones I've been highly anticipating for a while now, but how good are the chances that they'll be available in more territories, like Latin America, anytime soon?

I honestly don't know. I was posting a reply in the Premium Member's section one day when I noticed it, and appended a comment to my message along the lines of, "I wonder how long that's been there?"
