Either spraining my ankle or when I was getting a cavity filled, and despite multiple numbing shots, the numbing didn't work. So I had to feel my tooth getting drilled into, it was a whole new kind of pain I never want to experience again.

Believe it or not, I had to go through that numbing experience only a month before what happened with the Oro-Antral Fistula. They shot me up like 5 times and it wouldn't take. But, what was worse, is that it was a full on extraction of a curved wisdom tooth. I have huge teeth that have really deep roots so it took 45 minutes and broke into pieces. THAT was the worst experience for me, before what happened yesterday. It's not been a good month for my mouth...

Pectus Excavatum surgery. I got it when I was seven and it hurt so bad I ended up repressing those memories and can't remember anything before age 7.

I couldn't eat anything without throwing it up in 10 seconds, even if I didn't eat I'd still through up

An ear infection that I had about six years ago. Several days into it, my eardrum burst and I then had to wait a couple more days for my doctor's appointment. Of course, that followed up with a week or so of more pain as my ear was healing, but I was then using some medication. I now have a pillow case with faint blood stains from the pus and blood that drained from my ear for over a week.

I once had two boils, though it's the first that was horrendous. I was in fourth grade and it was on my upper thigh, so I ended up sitting on it during class. I was a pretty bloody mess, because I didn't think to say something to my parents and tried to wait it out on my own. My mom confronted me when she discovered my blood-stained clothing on wash day, and I finally said something. After a couple of nights of her squeezing pus out and a doctor who did the same thing (which I was none too happy about), I finally recovered. The second boil was caused by the first, and it bugged me for a few days; however, my immune system was pretty accustomed with dealing with boils by then and took care of it quickly.

The first day of my first period. Bloody, cramping HELL. Looking back, it felt more akin to a combination of flu + period. I was terrified. If it weren't for hearing my older sister's stories and her and my Mom's assistance, I would have thought I was dying. It hit during school, so I hid my horror and agony until I got home.

When I was three years-old, while "hunting for dinosaurs" in the woods with a walking stick, I nearly lost my left eye. My eyeball was barely missed, fortunately, though I had to go to the hospital for stitches. I assume that the accident hurt ALOT, considering the fact that I have blocked memories. Apparently, my brain decided to spare me the details by wiping out some of my memories, starting from right before the incident to when I'm sitting in the back of a truck with a pretty, pastel-colored and crocheted blanket to my eye. My memories of most of the ride and until I woke up in a hospital bed are also missing.

When I was roughly two years-old, my family took me on a visit to Houma, Louisiana. While there, I mistook a fire ant hill for a mound of dirt. I was subsequently swarmed and nearly killed. I'm now allergic to fire ants, and I possess a moderate fear of them. Thank goodness for my brain keeping me from remembering the details of the ant incident.

I once badly sun-burned the bottom of my feet. Yeah... Sunburns are a hell of alot worse when you have to walk on the afflicted areas.

I shattered two vertebrae in my back. That hurt. A lot. Probably the worst pain I have experienced so far. Broken and/or severely sprained ankles, a severely sprained wrist, a stretched PCL, a broken or bruised tailbone, multiple concussions, and a broken shoulder blade don't compare to that injury, or the 18 months of recovery that followed.

After a while after an injury, it is hard for me to remember exactly how bad the pain was. (There was actually a study done to figure out what types of painful treatments are better, ones that create lesser pain over a longer period, or ones that creat more intense pain over a shorter period).

However, there are a few instances where the pain really stands out in my memory.

Getting some fingernails ripped off.

Doing a front flip over the handlebars of my bike and landing face first on the concrete road, breaking a front tooth and removing the skin from half of my face and getting rock chips embedded into my right cheek.

Having said rock chips removed from my cheek.

Collpasing and passing out after my sciatic nerve slips into the socket of my hip and getting pinched by the femoral head (still happens sometimes as I have zero cartilage in my socket).

Getting my pubic bone cracked (If you ever visit a Chiropractor and they mention cracking your pubic bone, run away as quickly as you can).

Having my "privates" catch on fire.

Getting staples(not stitches) put into the top of my head to close a gash caused by a rusty and irregularly cut screw hanging from a wooden bridge in a playground.
This happened when I was like 11.

I had a kidney infection when I was young. I remember being in so much pain that I couldn't walk and had to be carried into the ER by my father.
